Queen to release a Podcast

The Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II, will be releasing her annual Christmas Speech on Podcast this year, possibly in an attempt to attract a wider (maybe younger?) audience. It isn't clear if this is a video Podcast or not, but don't be too surprised if it doesn't shoot to the top of the download list, although it might do better than could be expected. If you do want to pre-order it (presumable they will email it to you), visit this site.

with all due respect to ma'am, the amount of time taken by the Queens speech could be better filled by saftey adverts for kids.

i think that's pretty cool, and a good idea to show that older generations (generally tradition rules in older generates) are staying current, especially with mediums for reaching audiences.

idk much about how the average british person feels about the royal family, but i might dl it just to hear some cool english accents and be a part of history

Well, not meaning any offence, but in the community I live in the Queen's speach isn't actually a major event anymore. The irony is that I might listen to it for cool English accents, because almost no one other than the aristocracy speaks Queen's English anymore! Most people don't have all that much respect for the Royal Family now given that they have no real power. But some areas of the country may be very different.

Hmmmm thats a thought......she could be the AMD Overclockers Club mascot......she would blend nicely with our new siggie logo!

At first glance I thought there was going to be some big announcement about Queen the band reforming with the lead singer from the darkness. Either that or Freddie Mercury was still alive and was just abucted by aliens... I knew it. Then all my hopes were shattered with some old hag trying to talk about eminem and 50 cent and how they are reppin the streets... piss off.

Podcasts and eminem dont run side by side you know! Freddie mercury is definitely dead, mainly because he was a bummer as he caught the aids! :slap:
