AeroCool Unveils the Klaw Mid-tower Case

Three vertical stripes of RGB LED diffusers resembling claw-marks give AeroCool's latest mid-tower its namesake, the Klaw. Measuring 228 mm x 461 mm x 445.5 mm, this rather wide-looking case serves up room for graphics card up to 37 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 16.4 cm in height. Quite a lot of the extra width is spent in freeing up a 23 mm-wide crawlspace behind the motherboard tray. Inside, you get a conventional horizontally-partitioned layout, with the bottom half almost entirely enclosed. Storage areas include four 2.5-inch mounts, two on either sides of the motherboard tray; and two 3.5-inch drive bays in the bottom compartment that can each support 2.5-inch drives.

The lighting system of the AeroCool Klaw is 'smart,' in that the three RGB LED strips take in 3-pin addressable-RGB inputs, plugged into a LED controller board, which itself connects to your motherboard over 3-pin ARGB or 9-pin USB 2.0 headers. In the ARGB mode, you can use your motherboard's lighting control software to control these strips. Ventilation options include either three 120 mm or two 140 mm front intakes; two 140 mm or 120 mm top exhausts, and a 120 mm rear exhaust. Front panel connectivity includes two USB 2.0/1.1 ports, one USB 3.0 port, HDA jacks, and a button to cycle through presets of the LED controller. AeroCool didn't reveal pricing.

Thanks. This is one of the few cases that are missing 5.25" bays that I like. Very cool looks and styling! I wonder if they plan on doing a white or silver version of this case..

Are my eyes deceiving me or is tempered glass panel literally blocking airflow holes? If so, what an epic fail lmao.

It sure does look like that, yes. Perhaps not the other side panel..not sure, too difficult to tell. Nope, 2 full tempered glass side panels according to the site. (Aerocool Klaw)

Bit of clearance on the side panels..

You're right... there is that, and then there is the chassis itself, which still has the slots to put regular side panels in, right out in plain sight. No border on the glass to hide them.

Painful! They literally added TG as an afterthought.

Agreed, TG should've been optional (both sides? Really? Who does that anymore besides Thermaltake?) and not stock variant, unfortunately a big no for me due this air starvation. On the other hand, if Aero will offer 3/4 plain side panels leaving 1/4 size of chasis for so implemented intake path I might reconsider purchase.

The glass ends where the bolts are. This is a good design because the air intake is much wider than other budget cases which have a slim strip for air intake. I like this case. Nothing fancy, should work fine and the front view is unique.
