StarCaft 2 to be announced at Blizzard's World Wide Invitational

StarCraft was by far the most popular game in Korea and the korean website thisisgame.com has some juicy information about the sequel. Apparently Blizzard will be announcing StarCraft 2 at the Blizzards World Wide Invitational which is held from May 19th to May 25th in Seoul. There will be developers of the game at the event and pictures of the 3D sequel will be shown. A new race has been added to the mix and the original units have gotten new upgrades. well I dunno sc2 has been out in betas since 2000 and each time a beta got stolen, the project vanished (stiking blizzard egos lol) we'll see if we actually get a sc2 or if it will go down in history as the most profitable game without a sequel.

StarCraft 2... I'm waiting for years to see that launch. From the people I know, that's the strategy game most known and played ever, and it could be a huge success in sales for them.

I think Starcraft 2 has been cancled/delayed so much because no one has the balls to step up and make a sequel to one of the best RTS's in history. All of their games are top notch though so I can see why.

There is no doubt in my mind that this SC2 is going to need huge improvements over the previous considering the innovation that has come in RTS. And the graphics are going to have to be damn well amazing.

Id buy this game over Crysis and etc, Ive loved brood war so much.

Not at all. Blizzard's games have never been about heavy graphics. They will make it look good but I doubt you will need a 8800/R600 to run it on high.

They have probably been taking all this time trying to figure out how to make people pay per month for an RTS. If they havent found a way, its not going to be an RTS.

I never played the original starcraft, but if the mechanics are what preluded Warcraft, it should be a pretty kick ass game.

if you have never played sc you need to go out and buy it. its $10 for the game and $10 for the expansion. Best rts ever made end of story. graphics are horrible but you have to remember its minimum req's...a 90mhz intel cpu!

YES!!!! SC2 im so happy i love SC and the online custom games. man i hope its just like SC with custom games online and really easy to make levels.
