EK Unveils EK-QuantumX CoolingStation Monoblock for PlayStation 5

EK, the premium water-cooling gear manufacturer, proudly announces something entirely new and unique: a full-cover monoblock for the Sony PlayStation 5. The EK-QuantumX CoolingStation Monoblock for PS5 covers the entirety of the PS5's PCB and cools all the critical components on the front and back of the PCB. This revolutionary water block for the PlayStation 5 stands as a beacon of coolness amidst a sea of heated gaming sessions. Your PS5 will shed no more sweat while it performs tirelessly to render your favorite fantasy realms on the screen. It is mounted via standard ATX stand-offs for motherboards, making mATX cases a perfect fit for a water-cooled PS5. The monoblock features rich D-RGB lighting on the front with a plexi cutout.

Play Games the Way They Are Meant to Be Played
Don't let the external noise of air-cooling fans disrupt your immersion in a fantastic cutscene or lead to your demise in a boss fight. Water-cooling your PS5 will enable you to maintain consistent temperatures with minimal fan speed fluctuations, resulting in hardly noticeable changes in noise. Thanks to the extensive surface area of a water-cooling radiator, lower fan speeds are enough to dissipate heat, resulting in reduced noise levels. An additional benefit is that all the electrical components will operate at lower temperatures, extending their lifespan.
Stay Cool, Game On
Like with the stock air cooling, the monoblock cools every vital PS5 component. From the SOC chip, GDDR6 VRAM, various controllers, and Voltage Regulation module to the integrated SSD NAND memory chips. The SOC transfers heat via thermal paste, and the other chips get their dedicated thermal pads to transfer heat to the monoblock. By significantly reducing the operational heat, this PlayStation 5 water block paves the way for quieter, more focused gaming marathons.

Aesthetics That Speak Volumes
One look at the EK-QuantumX CoolingStation Monoblock, and you know it's not just another piece of hardware. It's a statement. The sleek design, accompanied by mesmerizing RGB LEDs, is not merely a feast for your eyes but an expression of your unique taste in gaming gadgets. Crafted with meticulous precision using state-of-the-art CNC machining techniques, this monoblock features impeccable accuracy and a flawless finish.

The installation process requires disassembling the PS5, taking out the PCB, and mounting it inside the monoblock. By enveloping it in this monoblock, it becomes significantly smaller and more elegant, and can easily fit inside mATX PC cases.

EK-QuantumX CoolingStation Monoblock for PS5 is a true one-piece, sturdy, and reliable liquid-cooling product that requires only two G1/4" connector fittings for proper operation within a liquid-cooling loop.

Crafting Materials
The monoblock base is made of nickel-plated electrolytic copper with a see-through acrylic window. Additional cosmetic and assembly pieces are made of stainless steel and aluminium, and do not come in contact with the coolant, so there is no mixing of metals.

Rich Illumination: The Cool Spectrum
The addressable D-RGB LED strip runs down the front where the Plexi window is located, featuring 24 individually addressable LEDs.

Which Additional Water-Cooling Components are Required?
As with any standard monoblock for PC processors, the EK-QuantumX CoolingStation Monoblock for PS5 requires a pump to run the coolant and a radiator with fans to dissipate heat. Naturally, these components would be linked via fittings and tubes. All these components can be found on the EK webshop.
This monoblock features a PCB that converts the standard 2-pin DC power connector of the PS5 to dual 8-pin PCIe power connectors on a PC power supply. Thus, a separate ATX-standard PC power supply is required to power the water-cooled PS5.

Compatibility:
This monoblock is compatible with the following revisions of the PlayStation 5. Older revisions are not compatible due to physical differences.

kiddagoatAs someone who had 3 Fat PS3s die
The original PS3 was very poorly designed, it was designed to fail kind of. Just like the xbox 360 with the red ring of death for that matter. It was an awfully flawed generation of consoles. The same is not happening with the PS5
A Computer GuyThey should have taken it a few steps further like this guy.

It's only slimmer because he used an external mounted radiator. Very different concept, in some ways better in others not so much.
ir_cowYou will have to figure out "how to" install the disc dive into said case
Only if you use the disc version, and even so from what I understood you only need the disc drive during software updates (which would be a major pain in the ass but oh well).

They absolutely turn on almost all the time, it just runs at a slower more manageable speed. I think it's a cool concept but was a bit wasted on the original version of the console, there have been several supposed "leaks" claiming there will be a modular drive design for the console refresh and there migth even be a Pro in the pipeline, from the usual timelines both being due soon-ish. EK always wants to go for the most premium looking thing possible but they alianate a lot of their possible market by being too expensive when the target audience for something like this won't care if they used a cheaper more industrial design. Watercooling grew on the back of scrappy things put together with random pieces of scrap, not on premium looking components that cost an arm and a leg

…if you wait a year for the game…(and it is mot a AAA game)

so you use steam / gog for the PC. and not disks. ?
because games are cheap?. so you never pay full price for a game on the PC.

USA is great for that, some one will sell their disk for a quarter the new price, so the lucky ones can get it at half price… or the store just opens new games so they can sell them at half price

I'm glad my Xbox Series X cools amazingly and I don't have to spend some extra few hundred dollars to improve cooling if I had a PS5 instead.

Haha. well, it is not a few hundred dollars… 450 euros is about 600 Canadian not including shipping and HST… so about 750 dollars CAN. I have enough spare water cooling parts to make it work… or use the aquacomputer ultitube d5 200 pro leak shield reservoir… another 329 euros… (best solution, everything you need, and safety too.. just need a wall wart… fittings, and tubing)…
edit: i might have been confused as to what is included in ps5 cooling station monoblock…

A larger problem is how do you fit this quantum ps5 monoblock inside your PS5 case, and hang the pump/reservoir outside the case.

edit: is the cooling station everything that is in the email photo?… if so then i did not realize that they gave you more than just the monoblock… so, if that is the case a somewhat good deal.

I use to live in a state with a lot of pawn shops. Always start of the month when rent was due, tons of stuff would show up. All games $1-5. Yeah I had about 900 PS3 games at one point. Sold most of for a good profit :)
