Bittorent files poisoned by Adware

Next time you're downloading your favourite 1920s classic film on Bittorrent, beware of bundled adware! An affiliate of a large adware company has been seeding torrents with included adware, trying to catch people off guard who use this otherwise safe medium.

Be sure to scan everything you download for viruses and malware.

Would that be in the .torrent file, or just in the archive/executable that might be the file?

well, I would guess it would be tagged into the torrent of the file if they actually want to get it to install. Just putting it into an archive wouldn't do much, why waste money packaging something like this to get 1-2% of users hooked.

Thats strange. I dont see how that would work, as .torrent files are just information to some ip addresses.
