OrigenAE announces T12 Touch Panel Screen

OrigenAE are pleased to announce the release of its versatile touch panel controller. The T12 is a 12.1" touch panel screen connected via VGA, power, IR and USB all through a single cable allowing for clutter free installation. It's unique design allows it to be used with any PC so you don't have to change or upgrade your existing media center setup to add the convenience of touch.

That's rather nice. If only they could do a 10" or something, then it wouldn't look out of place sat on top of my Lian-Li PC-A05.

Great display for a little media centre "control panel". I have to agree that a smaller 8" or 10" device would be a grat option. 12" is too small for productive use, but too big for a discrete controller.

All I want is scroll, select, "play", "stop" and I can drive MP3 and DivX from it. However, those cables will need to be very long so that I can have the media server hidden away, and ONLY the controller visible.

With that in mind you'd probably have to get a all in one cable extender on the PC end. Some kind of KVM type of cable or something. It would probably end up being cheaper than an extender from the Mfg as well. Although 5m (~15ft is rather long).

hmm, sounds good to me overall, a smaller screen that won't unbalance my desk when I have two pcs running on it..
