New ATi-Linux drivers 3.14.1

Nothing spectacular and already a whole week old but maybe helpful though...

Link to ATi

Update: these drivers DO NOT support 2.6 kernels.

Now that OpenGL 2.0 is finally out we might see more game developers switching away from DirectX ('course I'm not holding my breath), which is really all that's holding back linux from being a gaming platform. Well, that and linux drivers from ATI that don't suck, but I'm sure they'd jump on the bandwagon pretty quick if the developers made the switch.

Real pity that they dont support 2.6 kernel yet... it has been out for a while, and I would expect them to try a little bit harder than they do with these drivers...

ATI probably has one guy locked up in the basement of their headquarters in canada porting drivers to linux. His pay is stale bread and water

Although not officially supported, they do work just as well with most 2.6 kernels as with 2.4.
