OCZ Silently Launches Solid State Drive 3.5-inch Adaptor Bracket

While we're waiting for 3.5-inch solid-state drives to be released, OCZ has silently come up with a genious solution that might fix the "issue" forever. Sold for around $12, the OCZ Solid State Drive 3.5" adaptor bracket easily manages to fit current 2.5-inch SSDs and make them 3.5-inch compatible, for installment in standard hard drive bays. The bracket is aslo compatible with all 2.5-inch laptop hard drives. The OCZ adaptor bracket is already available in retail stores. For more information visit OCZ's website here.

2.5" to 3.5" adapters have been around for quite a while. What I want is a cage that fits 4 2.5" drives in a 5 1/4" bay. :D

Capacity at the moment is a matter of cost, not the physical constraint of a 2.5" form factor.

Athena, Supermicro and other make them.

Though what I really like is this 2.5" x 8 in 5.25" x 2 carrier:

80mm fan instead of 40mm and... it holds more SSD :)

Double Sided Tape.

Those SSD's don't hardly weigh anything. Just stick em all over your case!

Agree .. 2.5" adapters have been around FOREVER!! This is hardly news.

AgreeX2 lets stop Farting around with nonsense 2.5" SSD's for crazy prices and just make 3.5 / or DVD/CD style big-ass ones with Big cheap memory so we can all have fun.

And for Agree X3 I've purchased 2.5" / 3.5" for number of uses over the years and never paid more than ~$3 for them...
