NVIDIA GeForce Release 178.24 WHQL Driver Available

Nope. .26 is for Quadro cards and as we know, they are based on the same GPUs as GeForce cards (except some models). ;)

oh lol so you add them right ? are they any better then the geforce ones ?

damn and I JUST updated my drivers not too long ago. I hate updating drivers. If they say there's an improvement in cod4 though, I gotta.

Thats why I updated. I checked on my old drivers before i upgraded. I got 91 FPS maxed at my 1680x1050 res. Installed new drivers and no change.

The improvement is based on 175.xx vs 178.xx if you read the small print.

IMO nothing has changed in this release other than adding some new cards into the support list.

I just downloaded their new driver the other day and now they have another one? Since when does nVIDIA release driver updates twice in one month? They usually have a trend of once every 6-8 months.

This is not nvidia releasing drivers. This is lame ass, worthless M$ "blessing" this version of the driver.

Nvidia releases TONS of drivers every month. I'm about tired of this shit.

What a waste of time then lol. *waits for 180*

You mean Big Bang II

Yep. At least that'll add new other than what these current drivers are adding. I only upgrade my drivers if there is something worthwhile, even if I'm never going to use that feature.

Downloading now thanks!

cod4 is limited to 85fps which gives 91fps if left default,
Code:
/com_maxfps 0
in the console to set it unlimited.

Just wanted to throw out the link to the Nvidia System Tools for overclocking and system monitoring:

If you don't already have it :)

So far I like the system monitor, and the overclocking in the Control Panel is nice.
