my rig is pretty sucks...
but performs quite well in most games...

Pentium D Extra Hot 925 @stock
Stock Foolish Intel Box HSF
2x1GB DDR2-667 Transcend RAM
Crappy ASUS P5GC-MX with no overclocking support
Axle 9600GT DDR3 512MB @ 750/1750/1800
160GB Seagate + 500GB Hitachi

and other stuff....

mine has to be 300-500 because its old =(

Sheesh I'd hate to see what mine would be worth...i'd probably have to pay someone to take it.

An Alienware is not worth $7500, yes that is what people will pay for a prebuilt machine, but there are numerous people here would have comps with better specs than the best Alienwares and that price is going to be hard pressed to hit $7500.

two of us have, and i was merely $100 short :) i shoulda counted my networking gear...

edit: shit, screw the networking i forgot my CPU heatsink!
TRUE 120 tips me over the edge! woo! (pity i cant change my vote)

i said 3k-4k, ive sank about ~ÂŁ2000 into my rig, i used the prices that i paid for the hardware rather than what there worth now though, and i included my screen, mouse, speakers, but didnt go as far as to counting in printers and scanners :D

lol yea i just counted my hardware in my one system(if you have more that should be counted also imo) and estimated current value and that's where my vote went. lol but printers haha, i guess all that counts as networking gear, i didn't even include my wireless adapter, DVI cord, mouse/keyboard, hdd lol. still only brings me to bout $490 haha.

I am not sure how much it is worth today, but I spent well in excess of $3000US in 2007.

eh i'd estimate it ~$700-800.

Since I first built it and have since upgraded it, I have over 5K in my rig.
I tend to buy things when they hit the market and pay a lot more than if I would have just waited a while until prices dropped.
Not sure what my rig is worth now. I'm not sure I want to know. :p

The rig I am currently sitting on is worth around 1.5k in the box alone. The rig that's to be assembled next week is about 2k in the box alone. Three monitors, a Logitech joystick, a G15 and MX518 plus the stereo system I am using for speakers would go into 3-4k range....

I'll easily hit 7.5k if I count all my computers though (Q9650, Core i7 920, Q6700, P4, Dell XPS M1530....)

Try and include everything from your most expensive PC (Preferably gaming PC)!

My machine when we first built it was around $1100-$1200 3yrs ago and that went over budget of the $1000 we had to spend on it. The 7600GT was $300 and the AMD 3700+ was $325 back then :ohwell: now there worth like $50 MAX these days =/

But since then the CPU upgrade and RAM upgrade and Case and PSU the value of my machine has gone up a little. (compared to if i still had the older parts in it)

FX-57 will still sell on ebay for $200-$250
DDR500 is rare so it cost me $120 on ebay
Mobo MAX $100
PSU cost me $165 but worth like idk =/ $120? its not that old.
Case not worth alot now days $60 MAX
3850 $90 ?
Monitor CRT $50 if im lucky lol (otherwise the LCD be worth $150ish)
HDD's not sure maybe like $80 for the 500GB and $100 for the Raptor?
Speakers Keyboard and Mouse id throw in for like $40

Total = $960 - $1000 MAX

Remember this is Australian Prices so convert that to USA price would be around $700-$750

mine should be cost about 1500$ from newegg , but im buy it from our market it cost me about 3000$

630$

My rig about 630$, mmm does what it needs to be done:toast:

edit: maybe a bit more the monitor is about 50$ and the case about 25$ and the cordless logitech mice and kb about 40$, plus the headset about 35$, so its actually under 800$

Let's see:

Motherboard: $75
Processor: $170
Video Card: $180
Memory: $120
Case: $110
Monitor: $200
Speakers: $100
Keyboard & Mouse: $60
Hard Drives: $250 for all 3
DVD/CDRW Drive: $40
Side Panel Fan: $100
Heatsink: $50

Grand total of $1455

Yet I still don't qualify as having a decent rig according to that pricing scale despite the fact 2 months ago my systems specs would have been top of the line for an AMD system.

About ÂŁ1600 thats including three screens and all peripherals. To me its worth more though :)

at this moment, my rig is known as the HOBO SHITBOX :(

My sense of humour just happens to fall under the DnD category of Chaotic Evil.
