i have had the worst luck trying to get my sound cards hocked up to a recever, i have a problem with getting the sub out put to work when i use mutli channel in. I bet you can turn up the volume all the way, and make sure its selected to use digital out only. Other than that try updating drivers. I have these sound cards, i cant get any of them to work its compleat bullshit.

My realtek has volume control for the outputs, namely my coax output. If it is turned down or off, I wouldn't get any sound at all.

Well I finally got to talk to tech support at Creative ,and they told me that card will not work well with my home entertainment system ,and suggested the Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro . So I'm going to return the card I have and get that one I hope it works its $100 more but they say you can tell the difference

I would go for the Xtreme gamer Geared for gaming with hardware-accelerated game audio and Xtreme Fidelity sound quality.
