Sapphire TriXX Beta Up.....

orly.jpg

I've been playing Call of Duty for the past hour or so and it's still topping out at 34. I also raised the clock speed up to 950!

Okay I'm a little bit desperated, I have a sapphire 6850 CF...

I turn on Trixx and I can't apply even 1mhz to them.. if I do it I got a bsod (blue screen of death)... :shadedshu

I'm getting very upset with it... I just can't do OC this way. GPU-Z doesn't show any ULPS active and I've tried turning of MSI afterburner and CCC without results...

I have 11.1 hotfix

Yep same issue here with my 6850 crossfire and I'm pretty sure I had ULPS disabled (searched registry; found many and changed to 0) but it made no difference. I presently have only one card in as I wanted to see what they could do and Trixxx works just great single GPU. Presently up to 1000/1200 1.18v btw.

I was going to try again once both reinstalled but again Im pretty sure it was disabled before and I am not the only one having the issue obviously.

Is the most likely explanation still that we are missing a reg key or two and its not actually disabled? Frankly I haven't heard of anyone but you getting this to work as yet though that's circumstantial.

are you checking both cards in gpu-z? ulps only goes active on the slave adapter(s)

Of course I've checked both and no ULPS message...Maybe is 11.1 hotfix stuff? dont know, right now Im ocing with MSI afterburner without config unlock.... lets se what can I do.

Oh I'm pretty sure I had same blue screen with After Burner, for the record.

Ok the thing is this. Trixx = BSOD, MSI afterburner with OC limit = Nice!, MSI afterburner without OC limit = BSOD, ATT = BSOD...

So... what the hell is going on with the OC? :wtf:

I'm thinking about trying again with Catalyst 10.12 to see if is that the core of the problem... don't know really.

The bsod is actually has this message....

"A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within an allocated time" believe me it's not unstability thing because just happen when trying to use Trixx or ATT or MSI afteburner unlocked.

Anything else goes sweet and fine.

Trixx voltage control

Wizzard would you be able to add under voltage clocking to Trixx? I have a Sapphire Vapor-X HD5770 and today or Monday will have my Sapphire HD5850 Vapor-X (ordered it through an online store). I under volt to save power, especially for 3D gaming. Lower voltage means lower temps and means lower power and lower fan speed.

For my HD5770 sure I can raise the voltage but to lower I am suck using MSI Afterburner and I have my doubts that Afterburner will work with my non-reference design Sapphire HD5850 Vapor-X especially since nobody else has luck with voltage control with other programs. I saw some people in other forums that were seeking to under volt from Trixx as well and under volts in 3D isn't going to fry cards from too much heats, so it's puzzling the option isn't there

that's a design decision by sapphire .. contact their support, make your point, maybe they'll change their opinion

Does this fix the damn crossfire BSOD or not? I guess Ill try it but shouldn't have to find out it hasn't the hard way.

Hi all,

I have a Sapphire Vapor-X HD5770 and a multi monitor setup and have flicker when playing videos and YouTube for a split second, well anything that is graphic accelerated which is caused by my mem clocks to go from 1200mhz to 900mhz then back again when I close them down.

Is there a way to use this tool so that I can force my mem clocks to stay at 1200mhz all the tome whatever I do ?

I have been toled I can use a bios editor to do this but don't realy want to donthat if I have to so I am looking at other ways at the moment to see if it's possable

Can anyone help on this matter

Cheers

I don't have crossfire so I have no way of testing it. Please report back with the results though. Thanks! :)

Have you tried manually editing a CCC profile XML file? If that doesn't work I believe your only alternative is a BIOS mod (which isn't nearly as bad as you think). I'm not sure though.

I have crossfire no bsod here :)

And still no support for HIS 6950 core volt changes! Whats up with that?

Cheers, how do u edit the XML file is there a guide or some info on how to do this ?

Thanks once again

As I mentioned in the post, Support for "new products" :wtf:

I know w1z doesn't get to decide much in regards to TriXX, but Sapphire could at least provide a bloody changelog . . .:shadedshu

I just tested it myself. It doesn't work unfortunately . . .:ohwell:

Cheers for getting back to me about this, any guides or pictures guide
On how to do the bios. I have another guide on another site but wanted to know if there was a guide for it on here.

Is it not dangerous to alter bios ? And will it not range the card in any way. I wish ati would lock the mem clock for gfx cards that use multi monitor setups as this would stop any flickering or tearing of the picture when the cards mem clock changes.

Never seem to have this problem on single monitor setup.

Cheers

Using Trixx you don't have to flash your card.

Thanks Streetfighter and keep the links coming! Hows V3.0, might try it tonight.

Have they unlocked the voltage slider for the Sapphire 6950? I suppose I should say, have they made it actually function correctly :p

Hang on a min so can I use trixx to lock the memory clock to 1200mhz and it does not matter what I do or run it will not change from that setting from that

As when I run videos it drops the cards memory to 900mhz and makes my 3 monitor setup flicker or tear on the desktop.

If I don't have to alter the bios that would be better

So what do I need to do

Cheers
