Hey guys,
I need some help with upgrading my old computer.
my atm specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550
MoBo: Asus P5K
RAM: 8gb
GPU: asus GTX 285
some hdds and no name psu.
I use it to make some animations & rendering (Blender), 3d designing (SolidWorks) and gaming (bf3). Trust me, it works quite nice
It has around 4 or 5 yrs, but i don't have money to do big upgrade to newest specs and this'll be my main rig for next 1 or 1,5 year.
So, i need a new psu, old one is unstable and i can't trust it, while making bigger renders.
I think about corsair
> RM 550W gold (134$)
> CX 500W bronze (72$)
> HX 650W gold (153$) (smaller are not available)
> other?
Is it worth to get modular & gold one if it's 2x more expensive?
Is it enough wattage if i add watercooling for cpu and gpu (maybe better one in the future)? cause at 100% load (while rendering) i got ~80-85 celsius degrees at cpu. i gonna oc it, too.
I'll use that psu in my next rig.
And SSD:
> samsung evo 120gb (112$)
> kingston hyperx 120gb (122$)
> other?
which is better?
thanks for your help and all the advices
