You say that, but my avi was well within 'suitable for work' territory - In any case. If people dont want to see avi's then they can disable them in their CP rather then shit on other members because their avi's contain exposed flesh/skin. Hell If i was at work and my boss asked me who was the girl in the pic - Id say it was my friends girlfriend lol. There was nothing in that avi which made it NSFW

So one person complained cant there be some sort of threshold for complaints i.e if it receives NUMEROUS amounts of complaints rather then just the one. Maybe that guy mistakenly flagged it, maybe he was having a bad day and decided to take it out on other people by flagging stuff that wasnt NSFW as NSFW because he just felt like it?

Do you see how the system can be abused? While its down to you mods, admins & of course w1zzard to determine if whats flagged is in breach of rules its still a system that can be potentially abused if not moderated properly.

the thing is, GN was split off from TPU for this very reason - stuff like the hot girls thread derailed the forums and website.

Yes, TPU has always been kiddy friendly - where do you draw the line on whats naked and whats not? if we cant see pubic hair, how small can a bikini get? with boobs is it the nipples being covered, or what percentage of breast?



most other tech forums would have just outright banned you for arguing against a mod/admin decision :/

avatar is personal but since its public theres some rules that you should obey.
and if theres something happened related to any account, like crossing the rules, they (at least) get messages or any warning before further action, like in this case deleting avatar
if you have avatar and suddenly get deleted without any explanation it should considered as rude action, i know maybe his avatar is not allowed but invasing an account to delete it is bad.

At the same time you cant just shit on the members that LIKE to upload avi's or sigs like that - If its within the forum rules then who are YOU to tell them to take it off because you dont like seeing those kind of pictures?

Like i said in my previous posts - If you dont like seeing the avatars or sigs that people upload there is an OPTION that allows you to turn it off so you dont see it. Its not just there just so W1zzard can simply say that his forum has it but he gives you a choice - IF YOU DONT LIKE SEEING IMAGES LIKE THAT THEN TURN IT OFF IN THE USER CP. Dont go telling people to leave because their avi or sig is not suitable for your eyes. We are all registered to the same forum and we should all learn to get along with each other not go asking people to leave because of their avi/sig.

In any case its quite rich someone with 253 posts and no thanks asking ME to leave because you dont like seeing my avi of a beautiful woman.

What exactly is your contribution to this forum that denotes dictates that i should leave because you dislike my female avatars? I doubt it would your browsing life any better

problem is, thats a setting for logged in users, not guests. now if it was the other way around and you had to tick a box for 'mature content' avatars and only logged in users could see them, that'd be great...

When one sees very sexy avatar, one assumes it's not there for one to fap at.
That's a fair assumption, which leaves one with conclusion that the user is trying to get one's attention using the most effective form of marketing known to a male.
That way of getting one's attention is saying "In case you didn't see my post maybe this cleavage will help you see it. But really, cleavage or no cleavage what I wrote is really great ... really, just read it, you'll see".
