Over head issue AMD FX-8350

Yes but temperature seems high still. See the screenshot showing 60 degrees in bios

yea something definitely off with the cooler

Christ, your voltage is fine, and your fan is maxed out trying to deal with those 60 degree idle temps. Something really isn't right here. I'd be inclined to look to the earlier post regarding VRMs providing stupid voltages.

if my cpu was running too hot with no apparent cause i would do the obvious and buy a better cooler.. ideally a top flow one.. that will cool the stuff around the cpu better..

trog

A better cooler won't help if it's feeding the cpu huge voltages.

Can you post a picture of the inside of your case?

Omg, that poor baby CPU cooler :shadedshu:
Size does matter.
There's also only one fan functioning on the GPU, is that meant to operate like that or is the fan faulty?

The room temperature here is 12 degrees and my CPU idle temperature is 60 degrees :(:(:(

Jesus clean that heat sink :banghead: Half the fins are blocked

and not only it but all components, psu, vga cooler, case fans. everything needs cleaning. :shadedshu:

Cable management will help with cooling also. Buy a CM 212

and switch psu to vent to the bottom, move OD one slot up or down so it doesnt block airflow of evo

the GPU is only at 28 degrees thats probably why second fan is not working. I will buy a CM 212 and see how it does. I had cleaned the fans on the heatsink when I took it off to repaste. Didnt notice that the heatsink was so dirty let me try cleaning

you have to clean heatsink itself not only fan. all dust that is store over it pervents heat exchange with air that passes throught it. your fan is running at 5k rpm and your cpu is sitll at 60deg. this is cause air that passes throught heatsink cant take out heat from it.
situation is similart with vga and other components like psu and hdd. you want em dust free or they overheat and start to malfunction.

edit:
take whole pc apart (remove mb from case too), remove fans take it to garage and blow out all dust from it with compressor. hold rotors of fans and blow the dust from them too. block fan of the psu with wooden stick or screwdriver (be careful if you use screwdriver!) and clean dust from it too. you can hold fans of vga card with fingers while blowing out dust from heatsink. make sure you are directing air only to the fins of the cooler. dont blow air against pcb.
take some old but clean cloth (cotton is prefered. dont use wool or sintetic cloths!!!) put some isopropylen alcohol on it and clean remining dust from case and vga fans and cpu heatsink.
put everything together. when you are assembling psu turn it so that the fan is to the bottom of the case. direct cables through the holes in the tray so they go behind it. bring them back to the top of the tray via vertical rectangular holes in the case like this.
when you are done your cpu shouldnt go above 26C degrea ideal and 46-48C while gaming if your room temp is 12C. if you get evo you will be able to turn on heater in your room and still have silent pc while keeping above ideal/load temps.
next time you see pc is dusty dont wait till it start to overheat to clean it agian. if you do it timely you wont need to disassemble whole thing to clean it. just light blowing with air will be enough but dont forget to block fans from spinning while blowing over them.

yes but with little. get whatever is cheaper.

The 212+ is only $20 after MIR at Newegg

Antec GX500 Mid-Tower PC Case

Do you have the 2 front fans in this,Also why are you not using the back side for cable management ,Oh god that is a mess. Clean that dust out also,I would also suggest the power supply be mounted fan down this case has a dust filter for just that,Also the front bezel has a switch at front bottom of case , for access to the front fan filter which is magnet. Is this your first pc build by chance or did someone build it for you ,If the later i would start reading up in these awesome forums for tips from all of us here.

Then that wont work ;)

I have a Wraith cooler if he wants it i can send it to him,No sense having it here doing nothing when it should be cooling some fine FX 8350 :) And yes it is a great cooler.Just needs Thermal paste on it and away she cools.

yes i am a noob :) it is my first pc build. All cables are going through the back the two coming through the front are not long enough for cable management. I have turned the psu downwards now

Ok cool ,just route the 8 pin cpu cable (the one near the cpu socket at top) behind the mobo tray and there should be a hole at the top to pass it to the connector,Should be just in the right hand most corner of the back side. That cable should reach it no problem, and it will be out of the way of them case fans.

Ps any cables left over not going any where just tie them down in a hard drive bay .
