I voted nothing, but then a week later I end up purchasing components and end up with a complete new system. My Z270 board had a PCIE slot fail so my SLI setup wasn't. Decided to give Ryzen a shot, and gave up on SLI due to dwindling support on new titles.

Lol i liked how it's called "Project neverending" - fitting name for the story. I definitely know how that is.

Probably nothing. I can't find discounts for the RAM I've wanted for a couple of months. Everything else I'm happy with.

Besides, it's the time to spend money on other people! :p

edit: Well, I'm a hypocrite. Newegg has some good deals on SSDs. Got an Intel 545s (512GB) for under $100. They're also selling a 970 PRO 512GB for $177, but I didn't get it. Not bad either.

Currently 52% of TPU upgrading nothing this holiday season. rekt

Now I'm curious how many voted nothing and actually bought stuff anyway? I know I did.

Bought a whole new Ryzen build

i also voted "nothing" just because my choice wasnt listed. im waiting for a seasonic focus plus 850 platinum and later i want to add 16 more gigs of trident z.

still planning on getting a fresh-new GPU. Not going after Pascal cores coz it's an old architecture that I didn't make the leap 2+ years ago. A Turing based GPU is in the cards, preferably the 2060 that everyone is talking about. As long it performs better than the 1060 6GB while keeping toes with a 1070 non-Ti, I'll consider it.

systems that were top 10 years ago are now obsolete but I can easily do what is done with recent systems and spending a little money, unfortunately the IT market has become more a fashion than a necessity, spending thousands of euros for a video card that will be renewed in less than a year and cpu that are limited to compatible platforms only and not like the good old lga775 that hosted any cpu without the need to use different chipsets and / or sockets ... the computer world was beautiful 15 years ago, now it's just a fashion!

i voted gpu only but meantime found a cpu also fx-8350 a quite upgrade from phenom x4 970 ; it works perfectly in mobo so no need for investments in that area

price wise was ok ... 80 $ re-sealed and heavily discounted due this + 3 year warranty... i assume previous buyer return it due the joke cooler from the box...

now i don't have any bottleneck with the rx 580 as had 60% with previous cpu...

if mobo resist i won't upgrade in following 3-4 years for sure; than i'll focus on current ryzen 2nd hand cpu's and for sure i'll found with 100$ combos mobo+cpu at least if not ram also...

had in mind a new monitor free-sync 1440 p ips but not now..

Probably get an optane 800p 128gb for my laptop, alongside the 850 evo 500gb 2.5 that's already in there.

i think screens are at a good place to upgrade, i get the feeling that everything else is about to jump in performance/drop in price massively in the next 6-8 months

I voted nothing because i wasn’t planning to buy new computer stuff, but just received the H500p mesh i ordered, but i guess i don’t have to change my vote :)

Lot's of people are upgrading this Christmas, but most coming into my shop are building new systems entirely. Did my upgrade a few months ago.

I think it's time to ditch my 3570K. I'll go with 2600X.

Guilty
I bought a second Vega-64 GPU for Crossfire.

Nothing, getting mum and dad a new Robo Vacuum cleaner so that should be fun!

Nothing, Because i already got a 1080Ti about 2 months ago.

Well I thought I wasn't going to be buying anything this year but turns out I just purchased a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD for only $109NZD so that'll replace the two 120GB shitty Kingston V300 SSD's I had in RAID0 as my boot + Program/game drive

Only upgrade needed is to create a new Windows 10 profile because generic error's has fucked mine up so timeline and photos app doesn't work as they should and currently only fix is to create a new user profile this sucks..... :banghead:

Train the cat to ride around on it! LOL!

I went with nothing...then I bought a 1000w PSU, a second 1080Ti(to put in my Ryzen build, not for SLI), and a X470 Tiachi Ultimate(because my X470 Tiachi came with a bad USB controller so I figured upgrade it and RMA the X470 Tiachi).

I just pulled the trigger on a new AOC Q3279VWFD8 31.5" QHD 2560x1440 Monitor, 10-bit IPS Panel, 4ms, 75Hz, FreeSync Screen.
$229.00 Shipped.

I already spend my savings on TITAN XP earlier this year. Perhaps I will upgrade Noctua NH-D14 next year.

OOOO yeah picked some new wheels for my AK Racing chair Rollerblade Caster Wheel - Black/Blue
