Greetings everyone! It's been...quite a while since I was last here, and it's been an extremely difficult year and a half for me in particular. Long story short, I lost my father in June of 2018 due to catastrophic complications from undiagnosed colon cancer. He was my buddy and my rock. My world, really. Not only that, but he hated leaving things "stock", a quality I'm sure many of you can appreciate and understand. Anyway, before I start crying, I've come to you guys because I want to do a tribute build to my dad, as well as to the muscle/performance cars he loved so much -- those made by Saleen.
^ Next to me, that car was his pride and joy and we both loved it, affectionately referring to it as "Gossie" (Gossamer) after the red monster from the Looney Tunes cartoons, lol. And it was a red monster, indeed.
BUDGET (and country you are buying them in): $1200-$1500 (USD)
PURPOSE OF THE BUILD: Gaming (Some AAA stuff -- Wolfenstein, Far Cry 5, Jedi: Fallen Order, etc on High settings. Sims 4 on Ultra), image editing (I use GIMP exclusively), Blender (CC creation for The Sims 4), Everyday computing (productivity, movies, etc.)
ITEMS YOU NEED/ALREADY HAVE: I'll be reusing my Asus ROG Crosshair VI Hero X370 (already updated the BIOS so the board is now Ryzen 3000 ready), my Crucial MX500 256 GB SSD (primary boot drive) and my 1TB WD Blue HDD (for storage), as well as my Seasonic FOCUS 850W PSU and my optical drive because, yes, I still enjoy watching my movies on DVD lol. I'll also be reusing my ASUS PCE-AC56 dual band wi-fi adapter. My primary upgrades will be the CPU, RAM, GPU, and a new 1440p 144hz display.
With this in mind, here is build option #1 (AMD CPU/Nvidia GPU)
