You always have to add the VAT (moms) in Sweden on top of whatever price you see. I think the review sites in Sweden forgets about this.
Also, somethings Sweclockers are a bit too full of themselves imho.

Looks like a $40-ish price premium here, even after VAT has been added.

I meant recommended price from AMD, which usually have VAT. And if past releases is anything to go by it'll be a while before prices are fully set.

Be interested to see what AIB 6800xt can do if push the clocks and power consumption up, some room to play with by the look of it with different bios limits and card design. From Igor review the 6800xt is only hitting 2200mhz max at 4K and can't push this design much higher. Was thinking we will get versions of the the 6800xt that will do 2400-2500.

Apparently, all the AIB RX 6800 XT has been sold out at my local store. They all are priced at A$1049, which is significantly cheaper the AIB RTX 3080. The Strix OC 3080 is $1799, the Trio is $1469. At this rate, the RX 6800 XT is a better buy.

Has anyone realized that the 6800XT OCs MORE THAN TWICE BETTER than the 3080? :D WTF, really. I can't even recall a single AMD card in a decade (maybe more?) that was able to OC better by a single 0,1% margin, not to speak of more than double numbers.

Benchmark Scores 3050 scores good 15-20% lower than average, despite ASUS's claims that it has uber cooling.
How else you would present the data?
Split them up and have RT Off only and RT On only?

Or if not, have some color scheme that allows to easily grasp when RT is on and when not.

Is this like AMD's Pascal moment?

This is AMD's Pascal moment, but slightly more affordable compared to NVIDIA's offerings.

They finally fixed multi-monitor now! @W1zzard - Are the memory clocks low when running multi-monitor on both same refresh rate and varying refresh rates? This was a problem with the 5000-series and the older GCN tech (HD 7000 series).

So subpar raytracing performance and near raster parity? Congratulations on getting out of the gutter AMD but this is with a node advantage (SS 8nm sucks) and the absence of a proper DLSS alternative. 3080 looks like more value. A shortlived victory before a 7nm ampere refresh or hopper restores the status quo

So a technology realistically supported by a margin of games makes the 3080 better value for you? :D Because that is the only thing you can cling on. Can you list the games that has a RT support that makes you say "Wow, that is gorgeous!"? So funny, really. :D

AMD leading in performance and power consumption ? Never thought that day was a possibilty. But it is now. Well done AMD. Competition is perfect for us consumers. So very happy with it.

Compared to nvidia: shit
Compared to AMD own shit: impressive gain

Overall for consumers: absolutely no change in pricing schemes, as price fixing continues[for the worse for 6800 which is complete crap for the price compared to rtx 3070].

Nice joke, got any more ?

Almost 100W less on average with that insane chunk of power hungry cache, confirmation that Samsung's node is utter crap, my God how the tables have turned. And all of that just so that Nvidia could save probably a couple of bucks per chip.
Thing is, nvidia cards are pushed to the max and with a decent undervolt you can quickly get 50W less with the same performance.

The MSRP doesn't really apply outside of the US though, because, reasons.

TBH, people who have either nvidia or amd stocks should be forbidden from commenting on these reviews. It just become an insincere shoutout of pseudoarguments.

Imagine buying a 3080 at or above $1k or 3090 around $2k or above

JHH really did a number on Nvidia fans this time around.

So undervolt becomes a thing now for people who laughed at AMD owners when they mentioned that with Vega, maybe 290-390, RX 480, etc? Interesting (I'm not saying you are part of that group, but you were the one who mentioned it).

RTRT will be implemented in most triple-A titles from now on. AMD fans love to boast about how AMD GPUs are future-proof only this time around they are anything but.

It's highly unlikely "fine wine" will not allow AMD's RTRT performance to increase substantially given the current performance difference.

Who cares about wattage, as long as it can be cooled with acceptable noise? Anyone who buys 1k usd gpu doesnt care about 50W more on electricity bill.

NVIDIA's RTRT implementation is bog standard and standardized as DX12/RTX and Vulkan RT extensions. Xbox Series X uses D3D12 RTX as well, so there's nothing NVIDIA'esque about RTRT. Not sure about Sony as they use their own graphics API but very similar RDNA 2.0 hardware.

DLSS on the other hand is 100% proprietary - that's true.
Of course its standard, never said it wasn't. It's being implemented to nVidia standards right now on PC though. I personally just expect an RT on/off toggle in the future with "special" extra effects for nVidia.
