OFFICIAL Cyberpunk 2077 Game Discussion

I’ve only done the hex edit and the mem budget tweak. Is there a driving tweak I’m missing? Now saying that my Nomad starting vehicle was terrible to drive but(granted both previous tweaks applied) my new default vehicle handles much more reasonably so while initially I was very frustrated it may be vehicle dependent. I may change my mind again when I get on a bike.
I really wanted to drive 1st person it felt good and the cockpit was nice enough, but after accidentally clipping a few pedestrians and setting of the “insta cops” reloading and settling on 3rd person for mine and the publics safety is “the way”

i also need to apply some common sense ... you drive like a normal person in the city xD 30-40mph is fast enough (which is not global common sense tho, imperial is not logical. imho ofc ) ... ahhhh my other grief ... the distance from A to B is in KM ... but the vehicle speed is in MPH ... i get the game is set in the US but that MPH made me wonder ... i was FFS the braking distance is huge for a 15-30kph speed .... are the tire made of soap? well the issue was the handling configuration indeed but also the speed ... because the distance is wrong for 15-30kph but right for 30-60kph ... (need and option ot set KPH/MPH  )

car is still somewhat hard to not play lawnmower with the grass people, but with a bike : stay in the middle of the 2 lane and i can use the CT-3X at full 183mph in the city on the long straight road in some area ... (GPS need a mod ... the path should be shown on V. optics superposed on the road, like the one used in the race quest, instead of a too much zoomed in minimap, well i am fine now ... once i know by heart a zone i do not need to look at the minimap )

At least some “level system“ I mean nothing happens if you scrape another car but bump a civi and it’s just instant guns blazing...
well they should toughen the peoples (we are also Civ ... merc are technically civs, Militec and NCPD/MaxTac are not indeed) since even going 3mph and grazing one insta kill it, which is warant of a NCPD strike, heck i even had to outrun some that seemed to be MaxTac when i had a laugh about testing a smart smg on the street, at last when they forget you you can still come back ... i had the habit to QS/QL like in Skyrim (i did so before joining thieves to avoid bounty  )

I have definitely enjoyed the game but the bugs have become too much for me.
well these "bugs" are not technically game breaking (no, i am not a Armadillo abuser ... oh gosh that sound awkward if taken literally ) i mean, i can play just fine in hardcore and not get 1 tapped by a random
(still happen but that's kind of adding some realism  sniper headshot is a one tap, DeShawn did one tap V)
... 32hrs in the game and i have yet to find a game breaking bug (at last more game breaking than getting stuck somewhere and reloading still get you stuck, "a la" skyrim 3rd person bug )

I agree about the minimap issue, I often missed the turn because map was zoomed in too much. It should scale with the speed.

well for me it's a minor one since i have a good memory of street layout, more than often i even find a way faster than the recommended one, but there should be an option for zooming out the minimap indeed

I didn't encounter "game breaking" bug after 30h either, but some bugs are quite frustrating when they make you waste your time. For example i searched for a long time how to go through the electricity in the Delamain "Don't Lose Your Mind" mission because my character didn't want to go on the car going up and down in the garage, so i though i was not supposed to use it to upstairs. But it was actually a bug... Same with bugs that made me restart a whole mission because i suddenly couldn't talk to a character or someone got stuck behind a wall.

Haha yep... At some point my mind said 'fuck the yellow line" and I just point my camera at the marker itself and parkour my way straight to it. And then you discover the approach actually works damn fine.

Ive stopped calling my vehicle entirely. Just sprint, double jump + dodge and usually much faster. You also stumble upon some pretty cool bits of town that way.

And rooftops are of course a ninja biome

If you want arcade driving get a motor bike they are fun to drive.

Just to say that my 3300x enjoyed the hex hack and my GPU is much more utilized, I still see some rare dips below 60fps but it has to be really crowded areas

Seriously since when games required 8 threads ?? is it mining bitcoin on the background :kookoo:

Disable SMT and try every AAA from the past couple years, you'll be surprised. Plenty can use 6 core systems very well also. Things are quite limited on quad cores these days.

i run a CX-3T atm ... and i reckon i use mostly the Arch and that Kusanagi than any cars unless i am in the "badlands" but the fix i mentioned made the cars more viable in the city

With the required (or not) spoilers insert let's talk about your final choices. What was the ending that you went with and what was your motivation behind your decision?

I chose to go with Johny + Rogue. Felt like did not and would not have reasons to ever trust that Japanese crime boss, cuz she needed me to take her brothers place to become the next empress, and Panam while she seemed that she could help me, let's face it, those gypsies are amateurs and putting all their lives at risk was for me did not make any sense. With Johny, it seemed intimate. And I learned to trust him. I wanted him o take the wheels knowing he would never do me wrong, and Rogue is by far the coolest character in Cyberpunk 2077

I didn't even know what it was. I beat up some street urchins coming out of Evelyn's club and then stumbled on some guys hanging around they didn't attack me until I got on one of their bikes and could not catch me but then I hit a mailbox (i think) and the cops were suddenly after me. Those bikes are no joke though as I left the cops (but flew off a bridge).

This game is fkn ridiculous. I was stuck on the Ripperdoc Talk To Viktor arc. I could not scan Viktor. And after searching it wasn't the same as the usual scan Viktor bug so that fix did not work. I saw some others with triple screens like me having the issue as well which led me to realize that this bug was related to NV surround. Thus after adjusting the resolution to one panel, I was able to get past the scan Viktor part. After this I played for a few minutes and then the game crashes. Fkn CDPR...

Here's a good laugh. Somebody edited the launch trailer to reflect some of the bugginess of the game right now:

What's the bug? I did that quest yesterday, and if I'm remembering correctly, there isn't a car that goes up and down. To cross to the other side you either have to push the one car out in the middle and run and jump to it, or use the hatches if you meet the skill requirements to open them.

The car he use in this video (2:15 in case the timestamp doesn't work) :

Youtuber gliched his own title too.

Ah. That car wasn't even moving for me. I jumped on the railing in the back corner and then jumped up with that.

Now, this... this is the car I want to be able to drive.

Here's hoping a future update fixes this glaring issue.

I wonder how many bugs are straight up display related. I can say for sure that borderless causes crashes like Ive never seen. Tried it for about an hour and got maybe 10 minutes of game. Regular fullscreen is crash free.

Issues like this makes me lean towards downsizing to a single ultrawide.

And of course, it seems like I have more crashes than anyone. The mod I mentioned earlier helps a lot, but I still crash every 10-30 minutes. Playing on a single ultrawide monitor at fullscreen.

So weird... doesnt really change my mind either way. I just figure maybe differences in individual configurations break it in slightly different ways. Some are luckier than others. But I cant say I have NEVER crashed... its just all of about 1 running it how I am now. Which is regular FHD with no vsync.

Could even be a driver thing. Kinda sounds like it. Though its really such a clusterfuck its hard to say why anything works right now.

Definitely reeks of hardware optimization issues. Safe to say that the ryzen issue isnt an isolated thing.

I dont know much about how this all works. But Id figure hardware compatibility would have to be a late step since it is always changing. What were they most likely doing at the end again?

Trying to make an ambitiously large open world game run on old consoles that do 900p @ 30 fps on a good day? Sounds about right.

Im sure it adds extra room for issues but these days its so common that something calling itself next gen absolutely should be able to handle it.

But I cant say I have NEVER crashed...
Same for me, even with overclockeding DDR4, forced all cores, and the GPU/GDDR6 overclocked. Wonder how much of the crashes are related to unstable hardware? A overheating PS4 because of dust buildup?

Picked the 'V wants to live' option, gave Hanako her way and had my chip removed. The events that transpire then, I'll not spoil ;) But its way out there, that's for sure :) What does Hanako do - reincarnate daddy in the body of Yorinobu :rockout: Such a shame the plot doesn't go on because man that would have made for an awesome extra mission... get even after all, Alas.... seems we can't have our cake and eat it too

Motivation... Johnny got on my nerves as he's all about principles but still made a 180 himself several times during the story, I wasn't going to give him his way and I recall starting off to make a name for myself, not my schizo partner. Boy does he hate my guts now, but hey, guess who got that last middle finger huh :)

Beyond the story I must say I feel there is a lot of untapped potential in the city, with the corps and possible side quests. Content wise, its alright... but not mindblowing. Still got a bunch of sides to do, but regardless, had expected a bit more emergent gameplay in the open world. What doesn't help is that 90% of the perp encounters are stupid simple, too.

No issues here playing borderless windowed on a single UW, so yeah, worth :)

Its not 100% glory, the main menu and inventory screens are still 16:9 aspect so I get black bars on the side... and text can fall off the side if I scroll over an item there. Never bothers, but yea, not 100% UW compatible just yet.
