I'm an EVGA fan, they won't be making them, I'm out!! :D :D
i'm still hoping an eVGA Engineering Sample 40-series is leaked for sale

There is Zotac. I've always liked their cards.
EDIT: Forgot you're in the UK..

So.. Is the general consensus that these cards are going to be difficult to get at release?

I'm super bummed about this will be going with an FE model only now that I cannot grab a FTW3 variant. Msi/Asus/Gigabytes customer service is a pita to deal with compared to what EVGA offered and the one time I dealt with Nvidia CS it was super easy and fast (they replaced a Titan Xp with bad coil whine) being the main reason.

So.. Is the general consensus that these cards are going to be difficult to get at release?

There has been a lot of mixed reports about this but the general consensus seems to be that there will be 5X what the 3000 series launched with how that plays out based on region is anyone's guess though. Apparently here in the states there are warehouses full of them that they have been stockpiling since august trying to sell out Ampere stock and failing miserably at it because prices are still too high for most.

i find this all rather interesting. Although ive been viewing TPU performance charts for some time now I havent really bothered looking at P/W stats. So essentially the P/W metric determines efficiency per frame?

Just curious, previously with high performance graphics cards have we ever reached 1w=1fps?

Excuse my constantly wandering inquisition.... in a similar speculatory break-up, are there any stats which determine how much we're paying for each frame (average) whereby we can compare the speculated $-per-frame for a 4090 vs lets say 1080 TI (or previous to 1000-series)?
You can't compare that far away because the baseline changes with every review and the perf/w is FPS based, while the games that are benched (and the resolutions) vary over the years. You'd need a specific test of one game suite done today on all these cards/drivers.

It works gen-to-gen though so you could do some math to get there. But this is the same folly as saying 'This is a 4K card', because games and loads change over time, they grow along with the GPU performance as new levels get mainstream enough to develop product for.

So.. Is the general consensus that these cards are going to be difficult to get at release?
Was it ever different? Early demand is always a 'get there first' scenario, or you simply have to wait a week or two for delivery / wait for the next batch.

Scalpers already listing for 3300 USD so I imagine it’s going to be a bloodbath with everything instantaneously sold out and relisted for at minimum 2.5X MSRP

i own a 3090, 3080 ti, 3x 3080s and a lot more...
i will absolutely NOT buy any ADA Graphics Card. not on the 12th. not in 5 years.
You a minor, errrr, I mean a miner? :D

Anyone that wants to battle his PSU need to wait for the ti sku, with 2*12pin or 1*12pin+1*8pin design.

4090 on itself doesn't demand enough so no interest here.

Nope.... Notta......No way, 'Jose :D

They can replace my current 3090ti when they can pry it from my cold, dead mobo :)

No no, not Hell No, but F*ck NO>>>>>>>>>>>

O.I.Y.F.D..... (only in your friggin dreams)

Will be interesting to see how this poll changes after reviews are up
Let the records show I didn't change my mind, leaving a big NO even if I had the cash/need for it.
Expected more of an improvement compared to 3090

Just wanted to correct myself because my math was completely incorrect.

3090 achieves 100fps at 350W, 100/350= 0.29 perf/watt index
4090 achieves 100fps*1.8=180fps at 450W, 180/450= 0.4 perf/watt index.

0.4/0.29=1.38 which means ~40% better performance per watt for the 4090 compared to 3090.
If AMD achieves their promised 50% performance per watt improvement and has the same 450W power limit as nV then they would have pretty much the same performance considering their ~10% deficit in performance comparing 6900XT to 3090(Ti)
I was on point regarding the performance per watt increase vs a 3090, at least according to Guru3D

i'm pissed, still no 4K144 in GTAO even w/ a 4090

How funny that the 3080 may be a good value lol

Well it's fast. But I have not changed my mind about 4090 after reviews. It's still 4080 16 gb I am for. Burning 1600 usd + 25 % tax in my country and at the same time we are heading towards a ressesion. Dosent seems like a good idea.

Don't get me wrong. I would love to get 4090. But not for 1600 usd.

Good fricken grief!

@ Newegg
What drugs are you people on? Because damn, get bent, get knotted and go boil your head.

You a minor, errrr, I mean a miner? :D
As of last month on the 16th GPU mining is dead, offically. No one is doing it anymore because they can't. The algorithms were changed from "proof of work" to "proof of stake". GPU mining is permanently gone.

i'm pissed, still no 4K144 in GTAO even w/ a 4090

Keep in mind, those benchmarks are run with max settings, you want to top out your frame-rate, turn a few settings down or off.
