Crysis Is Officially Gold; Coming to PCs on November 16th

It's hard to find a computer game with more hype than Crysis. And so, it should come as no surprise that Electronic Arts' Crysis recently went gold. "We are extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish with Crysis," said Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli. "We wanted to push the boundaries both visually and with open-ended, non-linear gameplay and we believe the end result delivers that vision." At this point, Crytek and EA are planning to release their masterpiece on November 16th.

Well we saw the first level in the demo so... If that was all the fighting the North Koreans there is going to be then... it might be short.

The game seems pretty linear if you ask me. Nothing I haven't seen before except the graphics.

The demo struck me as being just like FarCry, right down to the way the patrol boats circle around in the bay, the docks covered with crates and fuel cans, the beach cabanas....

I'm sure there will be some variation later on with the frozen jungle areas, but my initial impression is one of disappointment.

Preordered, gettin it, good. The gameplay is far beyond FarCry or any other game, besides Bioshock.

Amen. The AI was nearly the same, the beaches, the jungles, all of it felt like Far Cry. Not that it's a bad thing, because Far Cry rocked, but still, I would expect some improvements.

I just hope that the demo was older and that the final game will play better.

Yes it's similar to FarCry, but that's the point. FarCry Redux, which was badly needed.

Try using your suit powers, then it far surpasses Far Cry as a gaming experience.

i could max out the demo. also i thought it was better then farcry tho somethings where the same but thats like SS2 and bioshock
