had mine @ 1005 core but was not stable with zalmanvf700..highest stable clock i have had is 980

Morgoth - depends on the card
i got mine stable at 900mhz max with wc
athlonx2 - congratz :)
now post some benchs

is it worth to get a hd2600xt agp? or x1950xt agp?

If your not upgrading your whole system soon, then I would say so.

But probably not from a 1950pro.

Same actually I hit 1005/1150 but not stable, with MSI's dual slot cooler, I have had it stable at 960/1150 GDDR4 version.

hmm, i can get only about 850-860 Core Clock with latest rivatuner 2.06 beta.... Memory is stable at 1250 Mhz (GDDR4)....
If i clock the core over 860 Mhz, the card seems to start throttling... 3D mark running around 2-3 FPS, and even in 2D mode in windows, scrolling is realy slow....
i also try to clock it directly to 880, 900, 930.... 1000 Mhz, and nothing....
I have Sapphire 2600XT GDDR4, with Accelero S2 + 90mm Fan... idle temperature is about 28°C
Any ideas ??

and sorry for my bad english :)

Probably getting ram errors when you clocked that high.. Try to knock it down around 1100ish and go for around 900 on the core... The RAM speed REALLY isn't needed with the pitiful 128bit ram anyways.

i tried that offcourse, but it hasnt any effect to clock down memory freq... its throttling with memory at 1250 and even at 1100(default)...

maybe a bad core you might need a vmod

Fill in your system specs, the card shouldn't be throttling at all..

done it...

Almost guarantee right now its a power supply issue..

That kinda overclock with that card overclocked...

Knock your processor overclock down to stock and then overclock the card
and see how it goes.

well, i will try that...

Uninstall Catalyst Control Center. It throttles all overclocks unless you use ATI overdrive.

Well thats not exactly true, the majority of the time if it is running it will lock your system up

But you don't need to uninstall it, just make sure its not running when you overclock.

well, underclock and undervolt CPU doesnt helped... also PCI-E overvolt (+0,1V) doesnt helped... I will try uninstall CCC...

No need to uninstall at all, you just have to make sure CCC isn't running in your processes..

well, that doesnt helped either... :( i shutted all Ati processes, and also uninstall CCC..

What are you using to test your video cards performance?

3D mark.... or RTHDRIBL.... throttling in every application... also in 2D mode...

you have to go straight to 880 on these cards because there are issues when u try to go slowly up..on mine if i try anything lower than 880 i get a black screen

like i said, i tried directly 880 and also 900,930 and 950...

Ya you are still pushing it power wise, but clocking your processor down should have helped a bit...

Might just have a not so top key card..

Hi!

I sent a mail 4 Rivatuner developer team 4 slowdown issue(over 857,25). Unwinder say: "Thank AMD BIOS/driver developers for that. Wrong clock calculation for the clocks above 857 MHz on RV630 is their issue, not mine."

I sent a reply, if this true, why Amd GPU clock tool able to set higher clocks? :) Now, i wait 4 reply.

Nig.
