EVGA is proud to announce the first ever EVGA designed GeForce 9800 GX2 water block - the EVGA 9800GX2 Hydro Copper 18 waterblock (part number: 200-CU-HC18-B1) with a 100% copper design and SLI compatibility. Being a full cover block, the Hydro Copper 18 is compatible with all reference 9800 GX2 cards and can be used in both 3/8" ID and 1/2" ID water cooling systems. Available now for pre-order, you'll have to hurry up if you want to buy one, because the block is said to be produced in a limited quantities. The price is little steep though, $249.99.

These are certified for the 9800GX2 right? But is there any other compatible cards?

Its not that crazy. I mean come on, its the first water block ever made by evga. So show some respect and support.

oh boy, lemme carve some copper up.... 250 bucks, yeah that sounds about right....

are you nuts?

that thing is WAY overpriced. WAY.

Hm. That is essentially just a regular quad with an unlocked multi. >_>

Sick, just sick. Half the price of what you can buy the card for now....lol, needless to say its not worth it.

EDIT: If it was silver for that price I would snap up all of them :D

dangerden's version is 209.99.

Its not steep if you can afford a 9800GX2 :o

Come on, regardless of the product used for the cost of the water block is outrageous. Specially when the product itself is rumored to reach EOL in a few months.

fourth only to silver, gold and carbon. not second.

Would a gold heatsink be the best?

i think the price might have something to do with how big it has to be and that its 100% copper...copper is not the cheapest thing to manufacture these days...but $250 does seem a bit expensive....i wonder if it will be available @ places like newegg?

EVGA's AKIMBO Cooler took a few weeks to get to retailers like newegg after it was announced so im guessing this will be the same way.

yea your prob right im sure it wont b as much there...eVGA make good stuff but i would never directly buy from them...they are to pricey

Second best, a diamond heatsink would be the best conductor of heat.

Good luck affording both :p I wonder how well a diamond one would do anyway.

i dont think diamonds conduct heat all that great tbh but i could be wrong

I don't wanna know. The last diamond I bought was the size of pci slot screw & costed more than my car, piff. That thing would probably blow your card & a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 5th mortgage :D
