DFI is ready with the first LGA 1366 motherboard in the micro-ATX form factor, the DFI LP JR X58-T3H6, dubbed LANParty Junior, which supports the latest Core i7 processors by Intel. The motherboard measures 245 x 245mm. Despite its smaller size, it has a respectable feature-set: 6-phase CPU power circuit, six DDR3 DIMM slots for triple-channel memory, two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots supporting both ATI CrossFire and NVIDIA SLI, an additional PCI-Express x4 slot, and HDCP capable ALC 889A HD audio.

The BIOS features CMOS Reloaded, Voltage Tuning for vDIMM, vNB, vCore, vSB, vHT, frequency tuning in increments of 1 MHz, adjustable CPU multiplier, and ABS technology system. The board features as many as 7 fan headers, onboard power and reset switches, and diagnostic LED display. There is no word on the pricing or availability at this point in time.

HOLY CRAP! i want one NOW!!!

honestly... thats gotta be one crazy thick and heavy board. x58s use a 8 layer PCB. im surprised they could make a MATX x58. this is VERY cool though. i hope the price is right.

Very nice indeed.

I'll take two ;)

lets make the ultimate lanparty rig: this mobo, core i7 extreme 965, 12gb of ram. a couple of 4870 in a lanbox lite and you are done :)

Well, my GFX now has an upgrade path!

:D

I think DFI should just keep pumping out mATX boards. I can already see the potential for that one. Granted everything will be squeezed together worse than a can of sardines.

I knew that they were going to do this when they did to there 790GX mATX board.

i agree, if they can squeeze the am2 socket in a matx mobo, they can do the same with the lga 1366.

NOW THERE REALLY ARE LANPARTIES MOBOS

heh nice pun lol.

well it wasn't like DFI was gonna attempt this back then. Heck I can't remember the last time I saw high quality mobo in mATX land back in the socket A and 754 days. Only exception was the SLI board made by EVGA.

Looks really clean for m-ATX space. Even when I see it, can't grasp how did they fit everything so well. Wouldn't mind getting one as a main rig mobo, if I was going i7. Do I spot a clear cmos jumper on the back panel?

Thats going to make for one bad ass SFF HTPC. I really want to build one now after seeing this. And just to think that I thought the P45 LANPart Jr was a beast of a mATX board.. damn nice find..:toast:

:respect: DFI

Mucho props for DFI for bring back multi-gpu matx boards. I thought that EVGA will be the first and last to do this...

i expect better heat sink from dfi

I think this is the first ever SLI capable mATX board I've seen. Very very nice board. Keepin my eye on this one.

wait who's dissin' the heatsink?? you can pull that little black passive piece off you know that right???

and so what that heatpipe doesn't extend all the way to the SB, heck your card just covers the SB anyways.

jeez your just askin for aa 300 dollar mATX board aren't ya.

excuse me for being a bit off the wall there.

Now that is just sweet! I wan't one too.

wow, there is nothing this board dosent have that normal ATX board do other than a third pci-e (which most ppl wont use)

lets hope it overclocks like a beast

i wish they would make a x38 or x48 lanparty (i want 2x 16x pci-e + lga 775)

i just have to say that most people arent gonna spend at least $300 processor and use micro-atx, but still, i love the idea!

This dfi x58 board is the 4th board that is multi-gpu capable matx board.

Forth: DFI x58 SLI&Crossfire...

Damn... this is quite tempting. Hope the price is right.

Maybe time to upgrade the internals (yet again) of the Antec mini P180 case.
