Leading professional gamer Fatal1ty has branded all kinds of PC hardware, including peripherals, headsets, sound cards, graphics cards, and even motherboards made by erstwhile Abit. Motherboards with the Fatal1ty branding are making a comeback, this time under the charge of ASUS. It is reported that a new manufacturer is designing some socket LGA1155 motherboards based on the Intel P67 chipset using the Fatal1ty branding. The company will show off its latest motherboards at CES 2011, which will also be the time when Intel unveils its 2011 Core processor family. Socket LGA1155 processors, coupled with Intel P67 platform is the key segment that targets gamers.

UPDATE: The board in question is made by ASRock, it's called Fatal1ty P67. It features a high-end VRM, 3-way NVIDIA SLI/CrossFire capability, a high-grade 16-phase digital CPU VRM, a unique USB port that automatically steps up polling rate of gaming mice, THX audio, four SATA 6 Gb/s, and two USB 3.0 ports. Fatal1ty detailed the board himself, in the TweakTown article linked below.

Yeeah.... HE has to have his name on something... Just take it from the camp that does red and black... lol

Wont that crappy name die already?

It's when a fighter in Mortal Combat performs spine extraction...

Didn't anyone tell asus that creative put the nail in the coffin on anything with that name.

If I was Jonathan I'd be stoked that ASUS are prying my name from the rotting corpse of aBit.

I miss aBit.

:(

When I hear Fatal1ty I think of Mortal Combat and some awesome finishing move:)
But that is just me...

It itches you guys that some johnny quick finger gets cash for using his brand :)

I really don't care~

Oh snap. The cockroach is back out of the woodwork.

Really, because ROG wasn't enough - Now we can get that useless brand name again...

Fatality should be the one paying Asus lol. I wonder how many seas of swords and bed of coals he crossed to convince Asus to tag that thing to them boards.

Because of the way the one is when i look at that picture i just see fat al and that just makes me think of this I'm pretty sure that was not what asus was aiming for

Personally i never intend to have any Fatal1ty branded hardware as normally the exact same product is available without the branding for much less.

Lets hope it don't have the same end result Fatal1ty = Death to ASUS.

I know i wont buy some hardware because Fatal1ty uses it like WTF.. And i am sure ASUS know how to build shit better than he does he's just a gamer.

Might be the reason i don't get s ASUS mobo. Don't want that crappy name on it.

Me too me too. :(

It is not a ASUS board, I can confirm that.

That makes me really curious as to why multiple sites are reporting on it and saying it is an ASUS board.

Asus-made not, but a Foxconn-made... for sure, hahahaha

Nothing against the guy, but it makes me to not buy a product.

Any proof that it's not an Asus board?

I think an ASUS representative should be enough lol

lol I know I'm just skeptical. Usually people provide a bit more info than just "it's not an Asus board", especially when so many sites say it's an Asus.
Nothing against you kinc, and I trust W1zzard's judgement that you're the real deal; but someone said to me once "don't tell me, show me." Always have proof ready to show.

Any ideas on the real brand of this board?

The better question is where's the proof that this board IS an Asus board, not vice versa.

Quite true. That's why I asked if anyone (mainly kinc) has any ideas on the real brand :)

Is that a face reflected on the socket retainer?
