5070 Ti power limit questions

Please make sure to upload it using GPU-Z, so that it becomes part of our BIOS collection, which is what everyone uses to find BIOSes. New search engine coming soon btw, similar to how search works in SSD DB
I tried to do it, but it says the BIOS already exists in the database.

Gigabyte Aorus 5070 Ti 400W Bios.

This is the 2nd graphics card... The first one did a strange noise when the fans are more then 50%..60% and it came with the 400W BIOS. I returned it because of the wierd noise. Got my replacement today and this one looks even worse... but came with a 400W BIOS too.

Oh, could this be the one! Are we able to finally run our gpu's at 400w? Does your card have 3 DP and 1 HDMI outputs? If so, I could also test this bios.

Update: Bios does not work Zotac Solid OC cards. I've tried everything to get it running. I've reinstalled the latest driver, changed DP ports.

It's a mechanical issue. When the fans spin at higher speeds — 40%, 50%, or more — the noise gets worse. The problem is with the heatsink and the plastic part that holds the fans. If I apply pressure to the plastic part, the noise either disappears or gets much quieter. It like a metallic noise like the heatsink fins are vibrating and touching each other's.

hi all, just registered to say thank you for uploading both aorus bios' as well as posting OC results as it gave me the confidence to flash my own windforce!

Just wondering why/how the aorus has both 350W and 400W bios? is one newer than the other?

I really don't understand it either. Both of mine came with 400W. And now I'm going for a third one, because this one is even worse than the others. That's what I don't get — it's the top-of-the-line model from Gigabyte, yet it has issues with the heatsink and poor build quality/materials...

Best i can do for now:

I thought it was only the 5080 that was able to push beyond 350w. It's come as a surprise that Gigabyte launched a 5070Ti, which is capable of 400w.

Thank you for the 400W BIOS :respect:

I successfully flashed my Gigabyte AERO 5070 Ti. I've gained 60-70 MHz on my average core clock. Voltage is also bumped slightly compared to original AERO BIOS (1.035 vs 1.045). GPUZ no longer reports power limit just VRel now. Sustained core clock during Marvel Rivals previously in the 3250 range, now using 400W BIOS I'm seeing 3300-3320.

I believe this BIOS to currently have the highest power limit of any other 5070 Ti on the market.

Ohh, that looks awesome. Can I flash this 400W bios to my Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Ti WINDFORCE SFF 16G (GV-N507TWF3-16GD)? Will be compatible?

Yes, you can try it. Just make sure to back up your original BIOS. If you have dual BIOS, I recommend trying it on the secondary one just in case something goes wrong.

I did install the 400W bios, was really easy and seems working well. Lack of time I did just very quick test, steel nomad went up to 7200 points with not very strong overclock yet. Power usage was max 340W only yet, it is increasement from 300W but far from 400W.

The total power consumption of your 5070Ti directly depends on the voltages at which it operates. For example, I’ve had five GPUs from the 5000 series: two 5090s, one 5080, and two 5070Tis, and none of them ran at the same stock voltages. They can range from around 995 mV to over 1.070 V, and within that range, power consumption can increase significantly in certain scenarios, such as highly demanding 4K gaming or synthetic benchmarks like Port Royal, etc.

Judging by your comment, I’d assume that your 5070Ti runs at lower stock voltages than mine. My 5070Ti operates at 1.050 V by default, and with overvolting it goes up to 1.070 V. At those voltages, and running close to 3400 MHz on the core and 2125 MHz on the memory, you definitely need 400W, or even more, to keep it stable.

These are my Steel Nomad scores with 400W

My Palit Gaming Pro has a power limit of 300w I'm thinking about swapping the bios out for something with a higher limit as I can only get around 3100 on the core without running into the 300w limit.
Hey mate, did you end up flashing to another bios? I’ve got the same gpu and was wondering what bios you flashed to?

The Zotac and Asus bios files should work for your card. You could also try out the 400w Gigabyte bios file, that was posted in this thread.

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/275794/275794 this one's the GameRock 320w limit bios. If you prefer to try out Palit's bios.

If your going to flash to another vendors bios. Use nvflash64 -6 biosname.rom, and then follow the prompts. Please ensure you save a backup of your stock rom before flashing any bios file. Looking at the images for your particular card. I don't think that you card has 2 bios options. So, be careful when trying out bios files.

In the unlikely event that you're unable to get any bios working. Once, you've restarted your rig and are seeing artifacts that you don't like. Use the same command I posted above, and you should be golden to revert back to your stock bios. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips mate! The card has dual bios so I was going to flash the secondary silent bios after saving a backup.

Might try the Palit Gamerock one above first as it has similar temps and fan properties to the palit gaming oc

If you attach the BIOS files you're planning to flash, I can analyze them and let you know in advance whether they're compatible. Otherwise, you might run into problems.

That's exactly what I did before flashing the 400W BIOS on my 5070 Ti AORUS Master. I analyzed it beforehand by directly comparing it with the original factory BIOS versions. Once I verified that all the parameters matched and everything looked correct, I proceeded with the flash, and so far, everything's been working fine without any issues
