i dont think i have any RGB software , used to have the MSI one but ive removed it some time ago, it seems weird because core 7 is not the worst core and it goes -26 (maybe even -30) with CO without any problems.

Yes, just running 95W will be more efficient than stock.

You did asked for efficient as possible fastest and stable, that would involve using CO.

There are programs like corecycler or Ryzen master that can be used to find a stable CO. I use Hydra personally but its not the best for beginners.

Or you can just try lower CO like -15 all core etc until you find something that does not crash in game. its usually 1 or 2 cores that causes this crashing issue.
-15 made death loop crash..
Maybe you have a bad core , you have to test each core , i was lucky enough that all my cores could do -20 and ive started from there, you can use PBO2 Tuner and tweak each core , maybe some can do -30 some can do only -10 (or 0 , i dont know).

EDIT: Some of my cores probably can do -30 (i tested some -28 and they were fine ) but -26 on most of the cores is enough for me , it was time wasting to tweak each of them by 1 for the gains i could get by doing that.
The core 0 with -20 is pretty slow in CPU-Z (i think CPU-Z is using only the first core to test single thread) but in CB the score is great , everything is stable and i see all the cores are boosting to 4850 , i am not sure why my first core doesnt get good score in CPU-Z , probably the thermals , it gets too hot with -20 @ 4850mhz and it throttles down.

Edit2: With this settings im getting 6800 points Multi and 655 single in CPU-Z , setting core 0 to -30 im getting 6850 / 662-664 without crashing during the CPU-z Bench but if im testing for stability it gives an error.
With -30 the C0 is boosting to 4850 and with -20 is boosting to 4800 when testing it in single core CPU-Z , that lets me thinking that is thermal throttling anyway at -30 its not stable in stress testing.
When ill have the mood ill try to set a higher LLC (its on Auto now) , maybe i can make it stable. (you can try changing the LLC too and see if that helps)

Edit3: After letting my computer idle some more with C-states enabled i see that the CPU downclocks even lower, check the pic. ( i think thats what u wanted? )
Well do c states being enabled make games run slower? I don't want games to run slower bc the c state is enabled... I just want cpu to down clock use less power when doing light tasks then on automatically when gaming it uses all power it needs.. It seems these CPUs can't do that automatically??

So I'm really confused as to what is going on. If you look at Ryzen master it's saying all cores are asleep and cpu temp is at only 26*C however if you look at core temp it's showing cpu at 3800 with fans running at a higher speed bc core temp showing higher temp? Also eventho the Ryzen master is saying the CPUs are all asleep my fans are running as if they are not asleep!?? If they were asleep the fans would be at very low speeds

As far as i know the only downside of C-States is if your CPU is OC-ed as it can cause some instability when going from idle to load or can cause problems when you wake up you computer from sleep , in rest your CPU should perform normal.

Start CO with one core at -10 and go up from there till crashes then keep the value that worked for the respective core and go to the next one and so on.

Can anyone comment on the pic? Why are cpu show boosting on core temp but in Ryzen master sleep?! Yet my fans are speeding up as if there is a load?!

But then why is my cpu temp software going by core temp? The fans are not listening to the temp Ryzen master has but core temp... That must mean core temp is more accurate measure

What is your concern? Your CPU is sitting at 26C and 5W. Did you check you fan curve?

Core temp is showing boosting but Ryzen master is saying the cpu is asleep.. Fans are speeding up as if there's load? What is a good fan curve to use?

It depends on your preference , what level of noise its acceptable to you at specific temps / load, im tuning my fans from BIOS not from software.

Edit: If you have a bad fan curve the fans could start spinning pretty fast even after you are just moving your mouse , i think im starting to ramp up the fans after 55C / 60C or something .

Can you show me the values you have set for your fan curve? Also I'm not even sure where in bios I can control my fans..i just use corsair software to control the fans. I am on a corsair h100i aio
So what is the more accurate core temp or Ryzen master? One is showing in using 31 watts the other 9 watts Ryzen master showing 31C core temp 37...those values are pretty far from each other.. But it seems my fans are responding to the values of core temp
Pbo values at Ppt 120 tdc 75 edc 110
Are these pretty good?

CPU package is derived from a motherboard sensor that controls the fans and core temp is showing just that. Ryzen Master shows the CPU die temps from the sensors embedded within the CPU. As for what core is sleeping and their true clocks, the die reports again to the Ryzen master, so I trust that better. The frontend clockrate which shows up in the coretemp is a bit different in what it shows also.

My settings would be useless to you because you have different case/fans etc.
Core Temp i think is showing Core 0 temp and Ryzen Master its showing overall CPU temp.

That's the most accurate one?
Agreed! It includes all sensors, both the board's ones and the ones embedded into the CPUs. And the latter ones (the same Ryzen Master show) help the algo decide how far it can boost depending on the Tdie junction.

Does anyone here play death loop? I've noticed that game pretty much has my cpu at 60 to 72 no matter what. Is this normal?!

Well do c states being enabled make games run slower?
No, in theory they make it faster since any wattage saved by sleeping cores goes to the ones that need it

That's the most accurate one?

It depends on your GPU and your game settings.
I have a 3070ti 1440p prob all high

Where do you enable c states in bios?
Should I just get rid of core temp and use HWinfo instead?

You can be GPU limited , check your GPU usage at the same time.

What MB you have? On MSI you can find it under OC - Advanced CPU configuration.

weird.
Ihave now run this for 20mins about 5 times now in a row. Nothing.
Is it stable? What do you guys think.
I testedwith Auto Voltage and Clocks and im now gonna limit it back to 4.6Ghz and 1.25V. Will it still work? Im daily driving -20 on all of em.

I would say thats pretty good, im running it -20 on few cores and -26 on the others with AutoOC +200, you should check for WHEA errors too (if you are running high IF).

Edit: Try testing with CoreCycler too ,it detects per core instability, sometimes it worked fine for me with OCCT but not in CC and had to change to CO for the respective core.
