So seeing as how AMD has started releasing special profiles for Crossfire set ups to help allow for better Crossfire performance in games, and occasional other fixes for issues with Anti-Aliasing in game and the control via CCC, I thought I would try to maintain a thread with a link/info on up to date Application Profiles. As far as I know, these should work on all HD 2k, 3k, 4k, 5k, 6k, and 7k series cards, when I when through and checked each individually on AMD's site, the profile was listed.

The CAPs are additive, meaning, what came out in a previous version is included in the newest version, so if you haven't installed any yet, installing the latest is all you'll need.

Single card users, these can be helpful for you too, they're not only for Crossfire users. AMD says not to use these with beta drivers, but I have seen posts on other forums (will go hunting if needed) that state the info in these are newer than that of what is in the 13.5 beta drivers, and that there really is no issues/conflicts.

Did I just saw Duke Nukem Forever on that list?

Certainly are taking a long time to get Shift2 and Crysis2 profiles ready.

Cool, usually find these in a thread on guru3d or check at Rage 3Ds page tho a thread here certainly isn't a bad idea.

Yeah DNF but still no Crysis 2 profile?

the crysis 2 profile was in the 11.3 cap1

As Boneface stated (and if you check the AMD Driver page which still has it up), 11.3 CAP #1 was to fix the issues with Steam and Crysis 2.

Crysis 2 retail and Steam versions need separate profiles for crossfire. Not sure why but my paranoia likes the entertain the idea of sabotage on EA and Nvidia's part for both Shift2 and Crysis2.

if you can't beat em.... bribe EA.

Yes - something changed in the app last minute to cause issues with CF support (Crysis 2 and Shift 2) - hoping for updates next week...

Added that twitter to the OP for more wonderful info.

New CAP update does not yet have Crysis 2 profile - still working on outdoor scene performance; as soon as it's done I'll let you know :-)
about 1 hour ago via TweetDeck

Whatevs I don't play that disappointing console port anyhoo

figured I would bump this up, the CAP #2 is now on AMD's site, so removed the extra link.

New CAP #3 out, not on AMD's site, use the provided link.

CatalystCreator is claiming Shift 2 needs an update to the game for AMD to make a proper AFR profile. Current profile just disables crossfire to resolve flickering and restore single GPU performance.

New CAP out, not sure what it does, all the info I've found provided in the OP, and a link to download, will update once more is said. Also from the looks of it, 11.4 drivers are close.

yet another out, more information on this one, main post updated

Forget exactly who this is, but keeps a good log of info on the CAP updates on twitter
http://twitter.com/CatalystCreator

That would be Terry Makedon .

wow i guess i missedhttp://www.overclock.net/ati-drivers-overclocking-software/891997-terry-makedon-wont-catalyst-maker-anymore.html this a few months back,Clever to use a similar name.Hope Terry is doing good somewhere else.

Say that reply from his twitter page to East Coast as in our very own eastcoasthandle?

first 11.4 cap out, OP updated

Just an FYI similar to my informative reveal of Twitter based news this thread is based on, if this thread is meant to be a permanent repository of links to the latest Catalyst set and CAP set, then it would be wise to point the CAP links to http://www.rage3d.com/cap/ instead of the official AMD site links.

Rage3d typically gets the CAPs up much earlier than the AMD official site gets it posted, and this is also confirmed by CatalystCreator.

As one can see on Rage3d.com, the "first 11.4 cap out" has been out since April 28th when I downloaded it. I believe the April 27th post time is due to timezone differences, or I was just a little slow on the draw.

Similarly, our own TPU Downloads area had the 11.4 WHQL drivers up a full day before the AMD site posted them, though I'm not sure if that is typical behaviour or not. I wasn't paying attention to it during the <11.4 releases so maybe someone who was can follow up this post with their impressions of how speedy TPU Downloads is compared to the AMD official site.

Cheers. :toast:

Where do you get them from dark2099?

I trust you, but a mediafire upload and lack of any documentation official or otherwise has raised my eyebrow. ;)

most of them have come via a thread in GBs forum on TT, that one i got right from guru3d linked via a twitter acct i follow

11.4 CAP2 update, once again, no change log but a newer build version than what got put up yesteday, OP updated

new CAP out, no info provided beyond build version, OP updated

11.5 cap 1 notes

New profiles added with this release:

Portal 2 – Improves CrossFire performance
Red Faction: Armageddon – Improves CrossFire performance
The Next Big thing – resolves negative CrossFire scaling
Regnum Online – resolves negative CrossFire scaling
Company of Heroes – resolves flashing issues seen when running in CrossFire mode

... Still nothing for Shift 2 or Brink. what the fuck is AMd doing with their time? ass clowns

Figured I should put this in here since I just noticed it, according to Catalyst Creater (twitter link in OP), CAP 11.4 #2 caused errors with older profiles in the CAP library, so if anyone using that hasn't updated to 11.5 #1 and is having issues, might be the cause.
