Are there Fans with more than 7.7 in H2O?

So I have a H100, I dont care about noise in the slightest. The fans that come with it have a static pressure max of 7.7 in H2O. Are there any fans that have a higher max static pressure, or that will actually provide much higher cooling than the stock ones?
Scythe 1850's dont seem that high, and the corsair SP's are only 3.3 in H2O

I have a feeling that rating is BS. I'd be amazed if a pair of AP31s didn't blow them away.

I am having great difficulty finding a comparison of H100's with stock fans and a bunch of other contenders. Obviously nobody thought of doing it...

These Silverstone monsters have 120mm mountings according to one of the reviews at NewEgg (looks like that to me as well according to the pics):

SILVERSTONE FHP-141 Case Fan - Newegg.com

These will push some air and will likely be added to my new setup eventually ;)

Cheers. RAM clearance is an issue for me, need to stick with 120mm for push, but my 200mm fans will remain champs in pull.

There are tons of fans that offer >7mmH2O

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Delta-TFC12...or-252cfm-Equivalent-PFB1212UHE-/170871697994

Those for instance are 35.8mmH2O with a proper fan controller or modded cables to power via 12v and control via mobo they can be quieter than people think. I prefer the nidec version as they seem to not require as high of a start up voltage nor do the click undervolted, but you get the picture.

Here are the nidecs

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Compaq-3645...?pt=US_CPU_Fans_Heatsinks&hash=item2ebe431a40

they actually supply >50mmH2O according to the inwg to mm H20 conversion charts I have read. Those are the ones I run on my radiators.

I'll probably try and source 2 Deltas from some place, bound to have a dodgy dealer locally ;)

Check ebay.uk? model number is TFC1212DE-pwm. The nidecs model number is the betaV specifically V34809-90 (V12E12BUM9-01). Search for fans for the HP DL580, compaq part number 364517-001.

flow chart for the nidecs if you are curious

and the inwg to mmH2O conversion chart

Remember hese are not quiet fans until you seriously undervolt them. With them at 7v the nidecs are about as loud as a 3000RPM ultra kaze, but higher airflow. The Delta's wanted 9v for startup and would allow a drop to 7v for normal operations, but ticked and didn't flow as much.

These things will be running at 12v all the time, as i said, dont care about noise in the slightest. I game with 5.1 active noise cancelling headphones, I just like to know my PC is kept cool for a decent price. My processor is exceptionally power hungry, at 1.32v for 4.4ghz.

Then go with the nidec's if you can find them, higher static pressure than the delta's. I updated the above post with some hopefully easy to find model numbers/OEM part numbers for you. I would recommend not connecting them to your motherboard and powering them directly off of the 12v rail. Your board may or may not be able to handle them.

Those are the nidec's removed from the HP cages and running various volts.

These the same/right ones? I assume all the plastic outer case crap can be removed, rendering them the same build as a 120mm fan?

Well I can definitely tell you that the Corsair SP120 fans are better than the stock fans of the Corsair H100. I owned both.

Those look the same model I have

Its a metal/plastic frame that come off and leaves 4 bare pwm wires when the shroud is gone you will have to wire it to a molex or pwm fan connector.

Ah, so i'll need 2 blank molex ends to wire these bare cables to?

One or two no reason you couldn't wire them together into a single.

Delta, Nidec, Panaflo, NMB Mat, Adda, Sanyo Denki, Sunnon, etc... Basically any 38mm fan ;)

I got some Sunnons & Panaflos spinning for over 10yrs! Not including uptime from the server/s they were pulled from :)

Try checking a local electronics surplus for fan stock ;) PrincessAuto has saved me more than a few times :) Guess that would be a HarbourFreight for US peeps. Not sure about UK :eek:zz

I assume I'll need a 43mm screw length with the same diameter as the H100 screws?

So far these are the only 6/32 x 40mm screws. 40mm shaft length, it also says 8mm thread length, is that 48mm total length? If not I guess they wont be long enough.

Benchmark Scores Epeen!! Who needs epeen??
I assume I'll need a 43mm screw length with the same diameter as the H100 screws?

Should do... Don't forget to factor in fan guard & gasket, if going that route. Otherwise 43mm will do the trick :)

cdawall got ya covered with everything else :toast:

Edit: Check local hardware stores for fateners, 6/32 is common ;)
