I've bought 4 identical Corsair Rams from amazon for my desktop system. I purposedly choosed the same brand for compatibility. But when I look at ram specs, I see that 2 of sticks are made from Samsung, and the other 2 is from Hynix. While the timings and frequencies are exactly the same, I suspect different manufacturer can hinder the performance or pave to way for incompatibility? Or is there any quality difference between those two chip makers? Should I return 2 of the sticks? What do you think?
This is the products I bought:

And here is what it looks like when looking with Cpu-z

You'll run into cpu performance issues before you hit the wall of what these sticks can do. No issues.

Hi,
Corsair is the worst memory manufacture there is they use a ver# on each stick that will tell you if they are the same bin
Problem is corsair uses the cheapest parts at the time of manufacturing so none will be identical even those in your case 3600c18 is what both kits say 100% they are different ver# meaning you're not going to have fun with them lol so don't expect a lot and maybe not even xmp 3600 working well if the ver# isn't the same.

Dang, same part numbers with different RAM chips on them. Odd maybe, but it should work.

Hi,
Best bet would be buy a 4 stick kit and sell the 2 sticks of sammy or return the hynix and hit the used market and find some of the same ver# of sammy.
Hynix set will be the weak link hynix is better at gpu memory than computer.
Third possibility is lower your frequency and live with say 3200c16 with what you have.

Why not just try it out?

People get way too worked up about RAM these days. There's very little real world difference, at least not enough to worry about or pay a lot more for, in most cases.

If you're going for 32GB of RAM I'd buy 2 16GB sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws V unless you're running quad channel memory. I've never had to RMA any G.Skill RAM, something I can't say about Corsair. I've had fantastic luck with the Ripjaws and TridentZ series G.Skill RAM. Newegg appears to be slightly cheaper than Amazon at the moment.

I think people forget that OP.is the dude who turned off turbo for his cpu and dropped clocks down "to save it."

Like, he already gimped his cpu to the point of the ram won't be an issue

Really? I thought being a premium brand they maintained a good standard of quality, i had their valueram in my sandy bridge rig it was pretty decent though cl11 was a bit high for 1600mhz but it barely makes any difference in most tasks maybe couple of fps different in certain games.

Though i would admit their orange label VS series PSUs were total shit and i suffered alot like 1 and a half year facing random reboots with my vs450 because my family didn't let me buy a new psu because they were strict and it started giving me that issue just under 4 months, hell i would have been better with a 5$ psu than spending 50$ on that crap and they are even more expensive now maybe cause of rupee being way weaker now and considering today conversion it was 30$, just stating that incase you don't think how the was it so expensive.

I do find their AIOs and CX Series PSUs overpriced, though CV seems rrasonably priced. As a guy with budget most of the time i stick to local brands, there are some good ones in India and i mostly had pleasant experience with that that's why i hate nonsense like brand loyalty and thinking expensive is always better if that was true then Apple wouldn't be so hated.
I was bullied many times for having a off brand psu on LTT Forum but now look it has served me so well in last 5 years even my speakers which costed less than 2k sound like some music system which cost 5k from so called reputable brands like JBL, Sony etc.

I feel sad seeing so many Indians being crazy about foreign brands from America who sell overpriced products here with 50% markup compared most other parts of the world. Chinese brands makes quality android phones at pretty decent prices but people want to avoid them now because of border dispute and political conflict because of our stupid govt.

Hi,
Every manufacture had low end stuff some of the first ddr4 release corsair memory was very good but also very expensive last I checked prices haven't really dropped although parts quality has indeed dropped
Corsair has always used loose timing even on sammy b-die went most like g-skill use tight timings for example tight being 3200c14 is 14-14-34 where as loose is 3200c16 is 16-18-18-38 but corsair used when they did have 3200c14 they still used loose timings.

I managed to get my old Corsair Vengeance 4x4GB 2666Mhz kit from 2015 to 3200Mhz with tighter primary timings than stock, but the JEDEC timings for my kit were much better than what we see here. Maybe Corsair's quality has gone down?

Do your rams DDR3 type? Because Jedec timings are heavily dependent on ram types.

Turn XMP on in BIOS and set infinity fabric to 1800. Win.

Just plug them in and see how it goes. I’m sure you’ll be ok.

Yes I already did. No problems so far. :) But it is too difficult to assess my current performance vs the performance should have been.

No the Corsair Vengeance I have is DDR4. One interesting thing about it is that neither Taiphoon nor CPUz can tell me the type of DRAM modules installed on the DIMM PCB.

That's par for the course with Corsair. You never know what you'll get with that crap brand.

Sounds about right. I've never bought Corsair RAM in my life. Bought one of their keyboards once, lasted about 4 months.

C'me on Corsair is crap? So which one do you suggest?

I've been using Corsair for a decade now and they've been fine.

Hi,
AMD may react better to mixed sets
First set being sammy is likely helping too
