[WTB][US] Athlon 64 X2 BE

Athlon 64 X2 BE 5000/5400+

I'm looking to buy an Athlon 64 X2 processor. Just the processor, I don't need a heatsink. What I'm most interested in is either an 5000/5400+ Black Edition, but I'm open to any X2 processor if the price is right. Please PM me if you have one you'd like to sell and what you're looking to get for it. I'm looking to spend between $40-50 depending on the processor, closer to 40 for a 5000+ BE.

I'd say go for the 5000+ you should be able to push it just as much as a 5200+ and it will save you a few pennies

I messaged him about it last night, but have yet to hear back. I was actually going to get it a few weeks ago, but I wanted to test this board with a cheap cpu to make sure it works first. So at the moment I'm stuck with this single core 3800+, at least it's not a sempron I suppose...

I had a regular x2 5000 and I was able to get it to 3.19ghz 24/7 on a Biostar 780g, I think the egg has them for around 50$ ish.

Thanks. I checked it out, after shipping and tax it comes out to the same price as the 5200+ BE on newegg($66). Thank you for the reply though :toast:

It is a fairly good price, I'd still prefer getting one from someone here rather than some big retailer getting my money. Seem to be in short supply though

Why not just get an X3 8750? 9600s don't OC...
The X4 I will be getting if the PII doesn't stick to the $199-$235 price range beats the X2 6000+ even in single threaded apps....
X2 6000+ vs Phenom X4 9750... The X4 wins every-time because its IPC is ALOT better than the X2s.
So just a suggestion...

The X3's are generally too close in price to the X4's from what I've seen, I'm also not particularly interested in massive OCing.

PII is out btw, the 920 is $235 on newegg...

I have a 5000+ BE AM2 I could sell for $50 shipped and my heatware is pretty solid.

My heatware is Echelon V
