B580 tanks performance with low end CPUs

I mean that A-series cards have never really been available anywhere ever since they launched (wait, they launched? Where?)

I know the UK is not the whole world, but I can only have an opinion on what I can see with my own eyes, right?

The A770/750//580 have all been super easy to get here in the states and for pretty low prices the majority of the time but just like with AMD/Nvidia they likely stopped making them a few months ago so stock especially the 16GB A770 is starting to dry up.

I wish that was the case here, too. I would have loved to get an A770 just for science.

Same here in Malaysia, A770 8GB were cheaper than 7600 and 4060, only the top 16GB were a bit higher but usually cheaper than 7600XT 16GB and 4060Ti 16GB.

This info is a bit worrying to me, but I think on my system with Resizable BAR is enabled on 5700G it won't be too bad.

Don't know. I avoid HU and haven't seen GN's reviews yet. Maybe?

That fucking idiot doesn't show any actual gameplay in 2 vids covering this.

It's overglorified clickbait, all he did was put up a fucking slide show which is too easy to manipulate results. Douche nozzel he is, narcissist.

I knew he was shady af.

Wait, who?

Wait, who?
Hardware unboxed, heck hardware cannucks did it too. No gameplay footage in either of their videos, just soap box grandstanding.

what the fuck, over.

That's one of the reasons I watch a select group of reviewers. Those who actually show footage have the greatest creditably. I like as well JegsTV for that reason.
I wish he'd review the new ARC cards.

Typical occurrence of early GPU discussions. Wait to see the number of pages we'll be at after the first dicussion of the first clickbait 50xx review out there.

Now that you mention it....you're right

So are they faking it for views? All your online experiences are various shapes on a computer screen, what makes one type more believable than another? Because one seems harder to fake than another?

Here's a B580 with side by side with gameplay on 12400f and 5600X. Spoiler: same FPS, mostly high GPU usage, only used 1 or 2 known heavy-CPU use games though.

Did i strike a nerve with you? My point is those 2 never tested, lex provided a vid of actual testing, just like you are now.

Lol no. If they never tested then how did they find there's a problem before anyone else? You see why I asked now.

FYI I have a B580 and tested in a CPU-demanding game in a CPU demanding area (Horizon Zero Dawn in Meridian) with a 5700X3D and confirmed for myself what HC and HUB reported. FPS drops and frametime instability significantly worse than a 6600 XT in the same system. It performs very well in every other game I've played (and very well outside of Meridian) but those are not as CPU-demanding.

But they don't actual SHOW what the problem is, they just talk about it and expect everyone to take their word for it. In the absence of many others making the same conclusions it's hard to take them seriously especially when their numbers, which they don't show in demonstration, do not match the numbers others show demonstratively. Hardware Unboxed has a habit of making moronic claims without showing the evidence to back it up. Steve Walton is a well known sellout and shill. He can not be trusted.

hardware unboxed + their techspot articles = just text of their videos have some methodical flaws. I saw it years ago.
It's entertainment like jay2cents, igorslab, llt and some others.

#117 Those videos were sometimes just random numbers put together. I thought this was common knowledge already.

Watch and think about the statements and results given. there is no quality control or methodical check for those websites and videos.

Ironic. Intel had the best cpu optimizations & benchmark biases only to make 9800x3d sell to extinction.

3 strikes made it fall:

- instead of making avx1024, disabled avx512
- did not solve cpu problems
- launched unfinished drivers or gpus that need the best cpu for low end budget systems which is a rare combo.

Also they're battling against nvidia & amd. Its too hard battle.

Should i pull the trigger and upgrade my RX 580 with a B580? I have a Ryzen 5 5600 running in my system right now. It's 330 USD(322 Euro) locally.

It will undoubtedly be an upgrade. But for that price? How is the pricing for the 7600XT, 6700XT, 4060 and 4060Ti for you?

7600XT - 398,20 USD (388,59 EUR)
6700XT - Is missing stock almost everywhere and is 510 USD where it's available.
4060 (The cheapest 8GB variant - Palit) is the same price as the B580.
4060Ti - 458,97 USD (447,91 EUR)

I have a 550w PSU so I would want something that would work with that.
