the MP map with the huge waves at night is spectacular
Yeah, and it's nice because not a ton of flying vehicles on that map. Mostly boat work. Played a round on that last night and got my hands on the big boat and went 25/3. Once the waves hit it was pretty sweet, provided some good cover, but also made landing shots on enemy boats much more difficult. Either way that big boat does major work, and it's nice that you can cap most flags from the water.
My favorite map though is the Railway. The villages up near A/B/C flags is just amazing. I basically live up there, drive up in a tank, once I can't hold the tank anymore, I jump into the houses and start doing foot work. Love mpas that vehicles and foot soldiers can be effective on, all those homes to hide in. Plus buildings can actually be dropped on that map. Though I got to admit the destruction of some of the zones up there is pretty generic. Hit a wall thats maybe 30ft wide by 15ft tall and it explodes in a perfect rectangle and is just a bunch of flying triangles in the air. Overall though good map.
I'll probably be staying away from TDM. At the end of BF3 I almost exclusively played TDM and had fun with it. The rotating spawn system because second nature. I could figure where a team was spawning, and decide if I wanted to try to move to where they were spawning and kill them, doing so would now give us that spawn location. So it kind of felt like a small conquest. But the spawning in TDM on BF4 is so damn random it's irritating, and the map selection is not very good. I spawned in numerous times with enemies directly behind me. Thats bound to happen in TDM, but usually in BF3 it did it's best not to spawn you next to enemies. Also the edges of maps don't have great boundaries, instead before the edges of the map there is great cover, meaning people just sit at the edge of the map and camp, which is easy since you spawn near the edges. Overall just seems like poor layouts and spawns, so might check them out later when its refined.
