Best DDR2 for biostar Tpower i45 @ 700Mhz FSB

Are you looking to just do an extreme benchmark or something because you can't run a system normally like that.

Probably going to need one of the Micron D9 chips, 2.3-2.4 volts guessing here, and I would recommend water cooling on them at that rate so they don't burn up in 5 minutes. I would find something already rated at 1000-1200 if possible.

There is a Gskill kit that has done it and a OCZ kit, although I don't remember which ones they were off hand.
 
i have 2x1GB OCZ PC6400 SLI ready memory

at my p5ne sli (FSB480), i able to run DDR1200 CL5-5-5-18 @ 2.4V (Async)

But at the biostar tpower i45, i only able to run stable @ FSB550, 1:1, DDR1100 @ 2.4V.
above than that, system cannot enter windows
 
what makes you think your going to get 700fsb

im sure that mobo was modded and say like 2.5+v where put to the mem
 
this guy had good luck with Crucial, as suggested, but I have to agree here 700 is near impossible with normal cooling (air/water). Without major mods or extreme cooling, as suggested by Dom, this is a very high goal to try to achieve.

Indeed, you are really trying to push records here, these are not easy things to do, for daily will need massive cooling on your chipset, ram and processor.

This 700fsb from this board was a shot deal, its not a easy thing its not a safe thing, especially on a stock board.
 
maybe 700MHZ is too much, but i still cannot get 600MHZ FSB,
biostar guide show that this mobo can hit 600MHZ FSB with air cooling without mod it

im thinking about getting Kingston hyperX 8500 or cosair XMS8500C5 or team 6400C4,
which one you think can hit 600MHz, dual channel configuration, @ 2.4V

it must be the mobo or cpu since you gotten 1200 already
 
i used same e8400 CPU CO stepping, i even lower the CPU multiplier to 6x,

i search in forum, config bios, but most memory they use is PC6400 C3,

i search review about PC8500 C5 memory, most can hit DDR1200 @ 2.4~2.5V,


or, maybe the timing were different?

Gotta make sure what ones can't hold up under 2.4-2.5 volts for more than a week..
Thats more the point and C5 means they were probably running 6-6-6-18 or loser possibly.
 
Transcend Axeram. 1200Mhz from stock i do believe? could be wrong, but they do 1200+ Mhz.

Yes 1200mhz at 2.2v's. You are going to be hard pressed to find any DDR2 that does above that 24/7 whithout some exotic cooling. Asking 1400mhz is a bit too much. If you are looking for that kind of speed perhaps you should be looking into a DDR3 setup.
 
yeah..

i pull out one of my memory, letting it run on single channel,
max FSB i can hit, 611MHZ, CL5-5-5-18 2T @ 2.4V.

i think, 700MHz FSB only run on single channel DDR2:confused:


BTW, some time nvidia chipset good to..(P5N-E 650 SLi ):rockout:

Damn! You beat me to it. I'm running my 4x1 Firestix 1066's at 1266 5-5-5-15 on only 2.15v. If you run only 2GB, you most likely could get them to 1400 on 2.25v. Great sticks, and clock like crazy. I'm surprised more people haven't tried them. Beautiful heatspreaders too. Directron has 2x1gb kits for $47. :eek::D

Because I just got 4x1gb sticks of Tracers D9GMH for $60 :)

But yes they are awesome sticks of ram, I have had/used them in the past.
I think its because Buffalo is just a cheap name so nobody wants to touch it.

LOL. You should qualify this by saying you bought them used for $60 from sneekypeete. That was a hell of a deal. However, the NEW firestix are really the best deal going for new sticks.

Fair enough... I bought them from Sneekypeete, and from the sounds of it they came today so I'm dieing to get them in tomorrow!

And ya it was a hell of a deal, its why I couldn't pass it up....

Speaking of which I ordered some cheap ram the other day for notebooks, got 4 1gb ddr2 667 sticks with D9HNL chips... I really want to play with them, but finding a notebook with clocking ability is not easy...

Because as a general term anything made by them is cheap and that's not a good start..
Not saying they don't make a decent product, just a cheap product with a less known name outside of enthusiasts.
