BIOS FLASH FAILED, HELP !!!

Please, NEVER EVER EVER update a gpus bios again - It is unnecessary, all you need to do is update nvidia drivers since the gpu bios drivers will not have performance gains.
ok ! ill never flash again ...
But, do make it work again i gonna need to use nvflash ? and restore those rom on gpu ? or are another method ?

I dont used for mining ! i just keep always my pc to update ! in this case i gonna tell how it was " ohh, a new bios for my gpu, if gigabyte as a new bios i gonna update "
Hell no, i mess everything, i just update to f3 bios for nothing, it was so good the gpu ... :(

So, should i use nvflash and flash the rom in the first link, then i flash with rom on 2nd link ?

No, just use the one that says F2 for now and see, i will get unofficial list in a moment

Here is oldest for your G1, found in official list

This one says F2

https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/190831/gigabyte-gtx1050ti-4096-161224

Next one up from that. Says F11
https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/187148/gigabyte-gtx1050ti-4096-161006

Unofficial list coming up
The thing is, i used nvflash this morning for both roms u send me now ! no one works ! nvflash says me with sucess, after that gpuz dont show bios info !
So, this begin with a bios update from gigabyte website, and i update to f3 bios ... and then i brick the gpu ! look at this

Ok unzip the file and use the utility in the file itself.

Typically the gpu box might have the bios revision, check the card for other stickers

i just disable de GPU

As I mentioned earlier, if you are at the point where you feel the Bios is unrecoverable, you can go down the force route but be clear, using the method below is a last resort, my guess is that the wrong bios flashed changed the device ID and/or other detail which is now mismatched to the correct Bios you are trying to install which is why the process of flashing seems successful ...………...

OVERRIDE SWITCH -4
nvflash --index=1 -4 -5 -6 BIOS.ROM (enter) (BIOS.ROM is example name)
There is an override switch for force flashing mismatched sub-vendor or hardware ID's (often required for flashing a BIOS from a different vendor);
This command will flash your GPU with the new BIOS that you selected by typing the name of the BIOS.
NO WAY BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not interrupt!!!!!!!! and wait for the successful message.

Ah, my daily entertainment thread.

In that case, same caution applies but...…………..

nvflash -f bios.rom (bios.rom being the name of your backup/file)

Might be corrupted fully - Keep trying or sell it to me and I'd do £35 posted.

Id say get a spi flasher

Note, im 32y old, im a network engineer, do you think im what ? lol
if u want to buy the buy it because it can work ...
Dont think im a little kid

It's better being a maintainer than an engineer because a maintainer fixes all engineer's screw-ups.

Kinda.

i just update the bios from the gigabyte website to the f3 bios, and only after do this, i see in gigabyte website that f3 bios its only a update for another bios, not mine and the worst, i did not backup the good bios !

Just little kids do that.

Sorry @Tatty_One but i couldn't resist to answer.

do you think im what ?
Stupid, little kid (jk)

Jokes aside, It will work and I don't mind profiting over silly mistakes. Truth is there was a 50-50 chance you'd say yes, so why not?
I'm not against you not buying it but it's fixable, so get to it and get that 1050 ti to it's former glory.

So have you tried the force in my post #34?

Any chance that the nvflash VERSION he's using is the issue? (looks like he grabbed the newest build, But...)
Conflict between onboard GPU and External?

Maybe he can try the dos version if it exists?

@Solaris17 is it possible to create a dos version of nvflash the way you have explained in amd/ati flashing guide?

It reminds me of my friend, who used it before, and I'll ask him first

It makes you a bit of an ass though, but we already knew that and we also know you don't mind being an ass so all's good in the world.

Since when is offering to buy a fixable card being an ass? He might have given up all hope or fed up - I've resold "failed to flash" cards off eBay and fixed them before, you don't know his personal situation and it makes you an ass to assume it. Some people work if you didn't know and he may not want to spend more time on it - he hasn't given the impression of that but you never know until you ask.

My impression was that he was very willing to fix it. It's like offering a helpless widow to buy her car for a scrap sum because she doesn't know the battery's gone.

Like the previous poster said make sure your using the latest nvflash. Make sure you have only one card in the system and make sure your using the correct syntax in a authorized command prompt or even better dos prompt. I would even suggest plug the card in an older motherboard and try. I once had a bad flash on a usb asmedia card and simply plugging the card in a pre-uefi system allowed me to flash it correctly.

Also if this is your first flash leatn from it so you dont do it again. We've all had bad flashes.
