Bioshock Collection(Remasters)

So many games need remastering more than these do.

The AA is still a bit wonky, you can even see it in the screenshots above. Is there a way to bump it to 4X or 8X with the ini file?

Wonky? The original games have no AA options at all lol.

What do I care? If you can still see aliasing with the anti-aliasing enabled then it's not much good is it?

I have downloaded the first Bioshock in the Remastered version before I went to work, planning on re-living Bioshock this weekend, sadly I don't own Minerva's Den but mby it's time to buy it

Play the game, in fact play both the original then this one.

Also downsampling is a thing too... since this game will run off a car battery.

I did yesterday night and it bothers the hell out of me. I will try a driver override.

You can find the ini files in: C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\BioshockHD\Bioshock or Bioshock2
Both Remasters going by the config.ini file I looked through show FXAA is being used.

Edit: Going to bed, later guys.

I can't understand why everyone is using stupid FXAA when SMAA is superior in every single aspect while hardly demaning any more compute power. I just don't get it.

Oh god please have 2560x1080 support... I wanna play this so bad4

how did you set up custom resolution?
Nvidia control panel i made a custom res that would simulate what a 2560x1080 screen does by widening the view angle and Bioshock defaulted to that res.

The only complaint I have is that the mouse movement just feels so floaty, even at the lowest mouse sensitivity option in game. I guess I am just used to CS:GO mouse movement.

Defeated Dr. Steinman last night and then called it a night!

Yes this is why i have an XBOX 360 controller, i know what games are suited for it.

I got stuck at the part where you kill the Splicer that throws grenades at you from the balcony and you use telekinesis to lob it back at him, only problem my game bugged and he infinitely respawns, i'm playing hard but that;s taking the piss.

You are not supposed to throw the grenades back at him. You are supposed to catch the grenade and then throw it at the debris that is blocking your path!

Edit: I am also playing on the highest difficulty and with this horrendous mouse movement, it really is difficult :(

I realized lol my bad... been a long time since i played the original game :/

Anyone else notice a bit of graphical corruption in the opening crash scene with the firing and lighting? A lot of that on my end, little frustrating. Yet, not as bad as my game crashing as soon as I got to Rapture in the little submersible, crash to desktop yet no driver crash.

Gave it another shot and crash at the same point. Maybe I'll need to update my driver, haven't done that since 16.5.1. I guess some of those negative reviews on Steam were accurate?

Edit: upgraded to 16.9.1, rebooted, restarted game, crashed again. Seems like crashes are common based on a quick search. May come back to it later after a patch or 2.

OH well it basically has all the same issue the first one had with added crashes. It's a real shame they let this out with so little effort put into it. We can hope they actually make an effort to patch it but considering it has all the problems the first one had I don't expect much...

I tried playing in windowed mode and it seemed to work better for a little while; I guess crossfire was an issue. Was able to get past where i normally crashed. Yet, when I tried to quicksave a few minutes down the line, the game crashed.

So I disabled crossfire all together and tried it again in full screen. Reloaded, played a bit, tried to quicksave, and it worked OK. Hopefully I'll be able to play through well enough.

I'm really hoping it'll stop crashing because I really want to play through the game this time. It's already got me hooked again.

I'm still on the older AMD Crimson 16.7.3 drivers, was having some crashes to desktop but since I dropped the overclock down to 1125 MHz on the Tahiti GPU it hasn't crashed out on me.

I have however ran into some flickering with overlapping textures around doorways, columns, and a couple posters (texture flickering happened more in the Medical Pavilion.) I didn't notice any graphical corruption in the opening crash scene everything looked that same as the old game for myself, but I might of missed it.

What a surprise, did not know about this until i read this thread.
Will surely replay both games, after i finish Dishonored replay.

You wouldn't have missed it if you had the same corruption as it was obvious and constant; all the fires were flickering badly. Cleared up after a driver update though.

I'll take a look there as I just walked into the medical pavilion and saved to exit the game. Other than that, it's been OK for me with lighting inside Rapture.
