Built new system but stuck on Integrated graphics.

Hi OP what kind of cable are you using with this PC?

Throw it on the board output if it has one and try doing drivers.

Display port.
Ok do you have a TV with HDMi? If so plug both in at the same time. There is a weird bug with AMD where sometimes the card defaults to a port other than the one you are using.

Tried, nothing.

Tried and again nothing.

Flashed the bios to latest stable, still nothing.

Aight ya goofed somewhere or you have a DOA.

Download latest 6900XT driver package, NOT auto detect.

Download amddrivercleanup.

Reboot into safe mode.

Run DDU, do not restart or shutdown as you will run amddrivercleanup after. Reboot.

With network unplugged/disconnected, install drivers. Try to run your display off the GPU first via HDMI if you can.

Take the motherboard out of the case place on non conductive/non capacitive surface, elevated so a gpu can be inserted correctly, check the pcie ports for debris or bent/corroded contacts.

Make sure your cpu heatsink is not flexing the board, pull the cpu and check lga contacts for damage/debris/corrosion, same with cpu pads. Reseat cpu and heatsink, do not crank down the fasteners.

Check the pcie contacts on gpus, check for debris/corrosion, make sure no smd parts on gpu are missing. Reseat the gpu fully in the pcie slot, make sure it is squared in the slot and the board edge is parallel with the top and bottom edges of the motherboard. Check the monitor cable/adapters for damaged pins/contacts

Update your motherboard bios. If still no dice and the gpus work in another motherboard, replace your motherboard.

Ok let's go on to the next one. You should be able to install both the Rx470 and 6900Xt. Install the RTx470 in the 2nd slot and the 6900XT in the first slot. Connect the RX470 to the Display. That should allow for you to see both GPUs. Go the AMD site and download the auto installer that checks the system I think it is called a Auto Detect. Run that and it should be able to detect the GPU.

^ This
and GPU-z should detect both discrete cards.

@Blaeza - Do you still have your old system set up? Does the 6900XT still work if you put it back in that PC?

Go into BIOS and disable the igpu setting.

I'm unable to plug in both my cards in as I've not enough pcie cables.

No. I had to take the psu and 6900xt out. I'll try this if all else fails.
Go into BIOS and disable the igpu setting.
Will report back with how this goes.

Go ahead and verify the gpus still work in old system...

Are you telling me that your PCIe cables are not pig tails? It is fine for this purpose to use pig tails. Use one cable on the RX 470 and a pigtail and single on the 6900XT.

6900XT is dead. No life in old system and RX470 is working fine.

UNfortunate but figured as much. Sorry for this, my friend.

I'm firmly AMD... Although I have a MSi 1660 super somewhere, lol.

Just emailed northwest repair, see what he says...

Only thing that puts me off nvidia is the stupid connector... and less ram too.

Also! Anyone here use groove land or have heard of it?

Some live concert?.. :D
Lol... Have you heard of it though? I was recommended by Amazon. PC stuff at what seems to be great prices

Haven't.. Hope you know what you're doing...
