Well fast.com doesn't seem to be a reliable test, did you see mine? I've tried few times and it spit out numbers nowhere near my 150/15.....

The ones I posted.

1. Start at the Netflix homepage.

2. Go up and select the Settings link or the gear icon.

3. Select Check your network.

The Netflix app checks if you can connect to the internet and contact Netflix. The app also checks your connection speed.

You are aware of MadVR, I presume. You should take it into consideration imo. It will never get outdated.
Sorry. but do you English?

Please read my question one more time.

That is a silly approach. How do you wire video from one computer to the next without using your router? You might as well get post-processing done on the image in the mean time.

I do NOT have a PC in the same room or even floor as either of our TVs.
I have a crappy Samsung "smart" TV downstairs, which a Fire TV 4K dongle that works just fine compared to the crappy "smarts" in the TV.
I have an old Roku 3 for the TV upstairs, that unfortunately doesn't do H.265.

So how is either of your suggestions connecting a PC directly to either of my TVs?

I don't have to argue with your petty excuses. You complained about hdmi, I got you a solution. It doesn't matter whether you consider it, or not. There you have your answer.
PS: you strawmanned my suggestion into hdmi whereas I meant either wifi, or LAN.

What? Hang on here, you told people that they should connect their PCs directly to their TV, then you come up with a bunch of weird software that should be installed on the TV and then something else again and now you're making some excuse saying that it's not your problem. Seriously?

Well, your roku doesn't support H.265, too. Do you blame me for it, also? Where does it end for me and start being a problem for you?

Hi,
I personally just hook a real computer up to mine way faster.

I have a Sony 2.1 set with Blu Ray.

Probably an earlier model. Here is my homescreen on a modern LG B9.

Ignore the wonderful garish Xbox360 "pawn shop special" stand. (I don't pay more than 50 bucks for consoles, and I really need to get a proper TV stand, yes). Anyways, none of those apps on the bottom bar have ever been installed/used. They are purely ads. I think I accidentally toggled DIsney+ open once, hence the mark (it's near my PC input). Helpful when switching inputs, that's for sure...
If you scroll to the right side of the bar there is an edit button where you can show/not show the apps (also rearrange the order). I do understand where you're coming from though as far as them being installed by default which is crap (just like all the extra Win 10 junk apps). But if you hate them, it only takes a minute to edit.

streaming Home Theater set ups are great if that is your thing; I personally gave it up years ago.

My son wants to watch Sesame Street off HBO max
My daughter want to watch JoJo off youtube
My wife wants to watch Chopped off Hulu

My Roku premiers can do that, they all update themselves if I install or delete a new app on one, and they are relatively fast compared to the SMART TV UI...I'm good with it.

If there is I've missed it, but I admitedly don't use the homescreen much. Will check.

Keep it on topic.
Stop the insults/attacks/etc.
Take your bickering to PMs.

@lynx29 I believe your thread has been hijacked by the usual suspects, are you OK with me closing this?
