hey guys! i'm thinking about upgrading to a new case and giving my antec 1200 to my friend who's figuring out a build for a desktop at the moment. i currently have this huge thing weighing down the carpet, and i dont think my mom's gonna be too happy when she see's 4 craters in the carpet . any recommendations for cases that won't kill the carpet? i heard ones with wheels are better options. i don't have enough room on my desk to put up a full and barely a mid. i prefer a full case because i like the room it gives me with possible upgrades in the near future. all opinions are welcome! thanks!

Better yet get four medium sized sliders you put on furniture legs so the furniture will slide around on carpet. That will both distribute the weight put onto the carpet and make it easier to move.

Unless of course you just want a new case and are using the carpet problem as an excuse...

I second that...I've been using carpet sliders for years, cost about $15 at Lowe's or Home Depot. Moves much easier than wheels.

I know a trick - put an ice cube on the dents in your carpet. By the time the ice cube melts, the dents will have disappeared. Magic.
I'm sticking in another vote for the carpet sliders. And another one for the plank of wood underneath. Carpet the wood or something, that would look nice.

The ice cube method works sometimes, sometimes not.
If you have a steamer in the house you can try that too. Steam it and then use a hair pick or something to bring the carpet nap up again.
My personal fave is to rub baking soda into the spot really good and then pour on a little vinegar.
Vacuum afterwards. The vinegar smell will go away in a day or two.

HAF 932 comes with wheels that you can install, Great case if you are wanting to keep full tower. I own a 932 and love it.
