Hi,my other computer has been acting weird,it started with that I replaced the PSU,but I tested and had it on for 2 days and it worked with no problem or anything..then when I turned it off and tried it next day,it wouldn´t start.
I tried clearing CMOS,no luck!
Tried taking out the motherboard,no luck!
Unplugged and plugged in the cables,no luck!
Checked with memory,no luck!
Tried 3 different PSUs,no luck!
Tried 2 different graphicscards,no luck!

All things the computer do,is starting for 1 second, turn off..then I can´t turn it on again without pulling the powerplug out and inserting again.I don´t see any post or anything, its just blank and the fans go on for 1 second with the HDD LED,that computer is really pissing me off since I´ve been looking for answers on Google and asked around on MSN,no luck at all..so this is why I post here in techPowerUp! to get some support from tech pro´s.

Here´s the specifications of the computer:

AMD Athlon XP Barton 2600+ ~1.91Ghz
S3 Unichrome graphics
VIA KM400 chipset
256Mb Ram PC3200
40Gb harddrive
Unknown brand on motherboard,it´s OEM..I think its ECS though.

Thanks,Daniel.

Same thing happened to me. I fitted my new PSU and it started for 1 second, and then went dead. And it wouldn't work unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in again. Personally, I have no idea what fixed it, but what I did was start off only plugging in the basics. No gfx card or anything. Then slowly plugging things in 1 by 1. IMO I have no idea how I fixed it, but I did. Keep trying man, stick in there, and it will work !!

Ive done that too:/

Motherboard=Dead

How can a motherboard be dead if the HDD LED comes on and the fans starts to run,DaMulta??

Does it make the post beep, its also turing off after one sec. That would be my guess after you have done this.

I guess the only thing left to check is are the usb ports pushed together, and are any compassitors loss on the motherboard.

Wait have you tried it with out the floppy CD-ROM or hard rives plugged in?

No capacitators lost on motherboard,I don´t have a floppy..but I haven´t tested without the harddrive.

Try this, and take your time checking each item/step as you go.
Power off, disconnect all cables, remove all cards, remove memory(remember the slot they came out of and set one down verticaly and one horizontly).
Remove CPU fan/heatsink, check for thermal Paste/compound. check CPU is properly seated into socket. If OK, replace Fan/heatsink.
if not OK, repair(and pray you didn't fry the CPU).
Using canned air clean all slot connectors. Check for debrise. do a visual check of mobo looking for burnt traces/components anything out of the ordinary. If OK,continue.
If not RMA Board.
Reinstall One stick of memory only into slot 0(or 1 depending on MOBO)Remember witch one.
Reconnect HHD, and all other cables/connectors necessary to operate. NO CD/NO FLoppy.
only connect bare minnimums to operate. No extras/ No soundcard/No video card/ No cards.

Attempt reboot. watch for signs/symptoms/beeps ETC.
If it boots - power down and add one additional device at a time until bad device is found.
If no boot try other stick of memory, not both, swap them. if no boot RMA MOBO.

First of all,ive checked CPU..runs ok..fans ok..Can´t RMA the board cuz I dont have guarantee nor money...I only have 1 memorystick..nothing burned on motherboard or missing.

Well sounds like your upset, and rightly so. However the purpose of my reply and proceedure is to double(tripple) check. It's easy to miss some small detail, and it doesn't matter if all components worked on old(other) Mobo. This is a different Mobo. The proceedure ensures that the mobo itself works; and then is not having a compatability problem with one of, or other components. I realize it sound like a dumb proceedure but it works, to identify the exact problem. One more thing, is there a chance the bios chip is not pushed in all the way, or maybe had a bad bios flash, or the wrong bios installed, any of those things could also cause the problems you described. If you are sure it is none of these things then I guess the Mobo is just bad, or maybe the Hdd does not have the jumpers set in the proper manner for this Mobo. Good Luck, don't get mad - Analize and research or keep looking, or whatever.

take the cmos battery out and dont put it back in,let the system sit for at least 20 minutes and then try it,and make sure when u boot the systems it has ONLY the cpu and 1 stick of TESTED GOOD memory thats all you need to boot

Its nothing wrong with the memory,Ive tested it in my current computer.
And Ive had the CMOS battery out for 20 minutes+ and had no luck.
I haven´t flashed the BIOS,nor touching the chip.

Have you tried the psu in a different pc?

Yes...2 of them works, the other one is old and can´t run a computer with 7900GT,its the one that the old computer has,the original PSU.
Im using the best one,430W.

It works good for my system,no problem at all..the OEM one that followed was only 350W..but im selling my Xbox 360 to buy a 8800GTS and a new powersupply...I think its 290W on the original that followed my other computer.

Have you placed mobo's mount screws?

Honestly,what do you think?;)

Yes,ive placed the mounting screws and the screws for the mobo.

Check whether anything touches the motherboard. Also, have you put a cpu fan on the mobo? If not, add one. Some mobos don't start if you haven't got a fan on it. If you do have a fan, remove it and see whether it short-circuits your mobo(it might be broken)

Does the same all the time..
