If you punish any card with that a similar outcome happens.
Enable Radeon chill, and frame limiting to your monitor's maximum refresh rate, done dramma over.
As for comparing your results in your personalized rig in its unique environment, pointless fools errand, imitate the exact same tech and environment and the result would still varey card to same type card because not all chips are created equal so again a waste of effort.

These fan settings definitely don't match the card from my review. Much higher temp, much lower fan speed.

Did you set a custom fan curve in Radeon Settings?

Upload your BIOS to our database please (using GPU-Z) and post the link here

Wait, 1495RPM sounds like a helicopter taking off? I think that's a fan bearing problem.

I was thinking the same thing.

Or something is physically hitting the fan like a cable. Should be able to turn the computer off and reproduce the issue by manually spinning the fans in turn to find out which one has something rubbing on it. Could be a manufacturing defect (e.g. a piece of paperboard stuck in it).

I haven't touched fan (curve) settings - everything runs by default.

My VBIOS is already uploaded: Sapphire RX 5600 XT 6 GB. It's the latest revision of the card, part number: 299-5E411-202SA. There's no VBIOS update for it.

And lastly I cannot configure this card fan speed/curve in MSI Afterburner - it doesn't even read fan speed correctly when I enable manual control: i.e. it shows your settings but the card runs by itself.

160w is normal? What voltage setting? Radeon gpus can and will take undervolting like a great sport, please don't let it overbear on all of us. Just do it and forget it.

Everything runs by default. I've never OC'ed CPU/GPUs as I firmly believe it's pointless nowadays. In the past you could make your CPU/GPU run 30% faster by OC'ing, nowadays it's 10% max while power consumption goes through the roof. Almost everything from Intel/AMD/NVIDIA comes OC'ed/clocked to the max by default.

Fan Speed
Target Temperature: 69°C
Acoustic Target: 1200 RPM
Acoustic Limit: 2900 RPM
Speed at 100%: 3200 RPM

Your results seem to match what the BIOS wants to run. The question is why did they flash such a BIOS.

That's the one from my review:

That is even possible in due negligence if you erroneously press the fan button, it breaks the automatic fan curve. Possibly due to that, if fan isn't ramping, or ramping too steeply. Definitely a fan issue.
