Then how do you explain all the water/fluid droplets on top of the block?
1. There is a leak seal between the pump parts. When the seal leaks, it could be anywhere around the seal or at muliple locations around the seal... that includes the top.
2. The water in the loo[ is under pressure ... it may not drop put, it could spray out
Plus, AIO coolers tend to be loaded with anti-corrosion chemicals to stop the copper block from corroding with the aluminum radiator.
1. AIO coolers do not always mix metals ... just the cheap ones. EE, Swiftech and Alphacool make AIOs with no dissimilar metals.
2. Corrosion inhibitors have a useful life of 18-24 months. See pics
Ahh the joy of mixing metals in a closed water loop…:) While many water coolers have had excellent success with running copper/brass/nickel over the years with plain water, we have seen many…

And yes, many corrosion inhibitors have a yellow or green tint s... ever put antifreeze in your car ?
By all means do not put MoBo in dishwasher .. OK for a simple KB ... not for any componentry with LCDs, lighting or ports / connectors where water may become trapped.
To be frank ... I wouldn't even try to clean it. I buy a new MoBo, GFX card and an AIO that wasn't a CLC or to help save money, a $45 Scyth Fuma / $60 Fuma 2 air cooler that will perform better than most AIOs. If ya just love the lights and want something that won't explode and won't be a science project and which you can expants ... and which you can add corrosion inhibitors after the completely lose their usefullness:
Drive X3 AIO, all-in-one CPU cooler with built-in addressable RGB lighting
