OFFICIAL Cyberpunk 2077 Game Discussion

Really glad I waited to pre-order, I will wait for it to hit $35-$40 range and 3-5 more patches before I play. I still have the Witcher 3 expansions to beat, which are extremely polished now, so I will just play those this winter.

Heard there's a 40+ GB patch incoming, pretty insane size for a patch if you ask me...

From a couple of yt reviews I've seen, the game is phenomenal, but buggy as hell. Definitely not day 1 purchase material. Then again W3 was buggy on launch as well and they did fix a lot of things fairly quickly.

Really depends. If CDPR delayed the game those 2 extra months and is putting all it's efforts into a day 1 bug patch that reviewers didn't have access to they could have a good chunk of those bugs already ironed out.

We'll find out at launch I guess.

It’s true. See below for the good news.

This^^ CDPR even said previews by reviewers do not have the day 0 patch, which will be renamed patch 1 on release. They are operating with the older copy from when CDPR delayed it. The “patch” is really mostly the new version of the game, which will overwrite the older files. This is what we got for the big delay. I expect we will indeed see most of those bugs eliminated as you said, as well as better performance.

I'm preloaded and going back to sleep. Can't wait for the release. I might have to play at 1440P though if 4K is too much for my aging 1080Ti. I'll be bummed if I can't play at 4k but since I can't even upgrade to a new video card due to everything being sold out, well beggers can't be choosers.

I’ll be playing at 1440 using my 5700xt red devil, I’ll hang on to this till the GPU market settles down.

Damn twitter is just full of negativity of the game, seizure warning flagging up now.
This kinda reminds me of the backlash of Pokemon Sword&Shield before its public release.

It's Twitter. I would pay it no attention.

Or any RPG in the history of forever no. I don't for sure.

People are blinded by CDPR, but all CDPR has promised is that they will try their best for a good first time experience and to try their best to fix it after.

No one should be expecting perfection.

I believe it will be overrated but I doubt it will be even close to TES4: Oblivion levels back in 2006.

Still CP2077 is the only AAA game I have bought at full price since Diablo 3 vanilla which itself is a gigantic trainwreck.

how did you buy cyberpunk 2077 at full price? it's been listed at $49.99 for every console, and PC on Amazon for months now, as well on GoG store I believe it was $49.99. only on Steam does it cost full price, so yeah I guess that is kind of annoying as a lot of us do want it on Steam.

@lynx29 right now it's 59.99 on GOG and Steam and everywhere else. It's always been 59,99. GoG had a sale at the beginning of the year in February or something. Amazon doesn't count if you are a PC user and websites like Instant Gaming etc. they charge VAT. And with VAT the right now 46,19 price ends up being more than 60EUR.
So the cheapest price remains the full price - ironically enough

Amazon still has it at $49.94 for every system, and its been this price for months. https://www.amazon.com/Cyberpunk-2077-PlayStation-4/dp/B07DJWBYKP

PC is now sold out though, but it was $49.99

I bought it at $49.99 on GOG where that price is still shown, at least for me. Neither am I sure if GOG does geo-pricing, or whatever it's called.

I’ve been told by various people that they do not have regional pricing.

Why are so many people buying on Steam :( DRM free and 100% proceeds go to developer on GoG.com!

They do. The game is cheaper in Poland (€44.50) and even cheaper in Russia (half of this).
