DH61WW may Freeze within six month use

I have three Intel DH61WW Motherboards with i3-2100. I faced freezing problem on all three mobos for last one year. And each mobos are replaced lots of times from Intel RMA(Digicare) and all mobos show same problem. I waste my lots of time for it.

The problem is it turn off within a half hour and not turn on quickly. This problem shows even it was working on CMOS setting menu by F2 key when it was connected only to the display, memory, keyboard & cpu with a well worked PSU.

Also, sometimes the DH61WW motherboard PCs turn off without a reason and it may working after a while.

All Voltages are perfectly shows even after freeze. And all motherboard components are working good. Also all temperature values below in 55°C.

In my experience the DH61WW may not ahead a period of six month, if use at least 8 hours per day. And the replaced DH61WW is stopped working with in few days.

I feel DH61WW/H61 chipset has a bug . So no one purchase a H61 chipset motherboards as blind. Coz Intel may continue this dirt chipset for there new 22nm Ivy Bridge processor.

Or maybe it's not the mobos.... Could be you are causing the failures with another piece of faulty hardware, grounded wires, bad installation or something else.
After 3 mobos I have to think it's almost certainly not the mobos fault..

This. Even Intel's mobo's don't have a failure rate that high

But yea seriously, I'd start looking at RAM/CPU/GPU/PSU after that amount of deaths

For sure..lol..
I'd be looking at those components as well.
Start pulling them one by one and see where the real issue is.
Unplug everything you can and process of elimination.

Its never a OS/driver/virus/power/BIOS related problem.

I already describe that the Intel DH61WW hang and stopped working even working on BIOS setup menu. No other devices(Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Mouse, PCI/PCI-E Devices, Graphics Card) not connected to mobo this time.

Also this problem is not related to Voltage, Over heat, Power or voltage noise.

All MOSFETs, PWM Controller, MOS drivers, and filtering capacitors are working properly.

All boards many time replaced by Intel RMA. The replaced boards are show this problem within few days.
The replaced boards are always a repaired one which is not mine or submitted. So I can faced this problem on more than three actually in nine boards.

Never I have three i3-2100 and one I5-2500, one Asus P8H67-M LX and different makers DDR3-1333 Kingston, A-Data, Zion. All cpus & asus mobo working perfectly.

PSUs are Cooler Master Extreme Power Series 600, and XFX ProSeries 450W.

Dear mate, INTEL RMA test and verify the board has a problem every time when the boards submitted.

jomeshkck I got a PSU here that shows up fine on all tests I can possibly perform; yet it will radomly eat hardware whenever it likes. I had it hooked up to a PSU tester for 10 hours without a single beep. Just saying, there's no way for you to possibly know whether your PSU is fine without some very expensive hardware and an extensive background in electronics.

What motherboard are you using now? If you have a different motherboard now, please keep us updated on how well it holds up. We'll all be proved wrong if it lasts more than a year

Power supply SS-400ET / 2500K @ 3.0Ghz / 2х A-data 4GB 1333. never had any problems 4500 hours so far. however it runs the memory on 1.57V by default until manual-option is selected which I did select actually at some point. latest bios 044 and using external Gfx mainly, sometimes the integrated Gfx.

Really, I feel you use your pc with DH61WW more than 562.5 days if use 8 hours per day.
It a good news and you are a luckiest man.

All mobos memory voltages is 1.57v with A-Data 2GB 1333.

Three PCs used for medical transmission.
PCs config are,
DH61WW, i3-2100, 2x2GB DDR3-1333 A-Data, Seagate 500GB, cooler master extreme power series 500, MS k/b+mouse, LG DVD-RW.
DH61WW, i3-2100, 2x2GB DDR3-1333 Kingston, Seagate 500GB, Cooler Master extreme power series 500, MS k/b+mouse, LG DVD-RW.
DH61WW, i3-2100, 2x2GB DDR3-1333 zion, WD 500GB, XFX proseries 450W , Logitech MK200, LG DVD-RW.

DH61WW mobos are not working on a single PSU. I never thought this problem occurred by a worse PSU.

Me personally use Asus P8H67-M LX, i5-2500, 2x2GB Kingston, cm extreme power series 600, Asus xonar essence st, ASUS GT440 1GB DDR5, seagate 500GB, LG DVD-RW.

These systems are very very low power ~ 20 Watts, with 50% power in-efficiency of the PSU included 10 watts, and the other 10 watts the parts. The measurements of my system ~ 23 watts with the Seasonic PSU. Nobody has tested these power supplies under such low loads, and the Xtreme series are already known to have very bad ripple/noise problems. out of spec voltage.

My guess is to disable the C-States and power savings in the bios and try another quality PSU if you can borrow.

Well Intel Board never gave me problems i have D945GCPE with a old P4 also oc my P4 never gave me any trouble i think the OP's borad is not giving problem it is something else, If you buy 3 board and all of then giving problems then it is not board.

I also have old Intel 810 + Piii 933Mhz, never gave me any trouble for 12 years.
And Intel DP965LTCK + Pentium D 920 2.8Ghz + 8600GTS never gave me any trouble for 6 years.

Each three DH61WW boards are replaced lots of times by Intel RMA.
Actually I faced this problem on nine DH61WW mobos.

Intel RMA test & verify the board has a problem each time when I submitted. And replaced by a repaired one as Intel SWR through courier within one week. But they show the same problem again within few days or hours .
