I have the latest update but did not reinstall any of the unofficial patches yet
that's weird then because the latest patch/update should contain a fix for that I'll see if I can find out more for you
Anyone using iHud? I just installed the latest version and my compass won't show at all. Is that normal or is it not functioning correctly?
Dragonborn DLC sounds pretty sweet! "Explore outside of Skyrim...off the coast of Morrowind...island of Solstheim..." Oh man I like I like.
Yes it's on pre-order!
Might pre-order it tonight.
Been getting back into Skyrim lately.
Current character is only level 60.
€20 is a tad expensive for an add-on, I hope it's worth it because I won't have the patience to wait till the price goes down for this one.
Well it seems like its going to add crap ton of stuff, and its the same money as dawnguard
I think ill only buy it when there is an Unofficial Patch out and appropriate mod support
Eh, screw dawnguard. Db looks ok... still not paying $20 for it, but looks like it might be worthy of actually being called DLC instead of what should have been in the release...
you guys do realize you can get it from Green Man Gaming 99% chance when it actually launched they dont do pre order dlc but the 20% off coupons they tend to run
current one being GMG20-PJFEW-Y16HK
means that once it DOES launch you should be able to get 20% off without much trouble
that means $20 with GMG code it should be $16
Well I bought Dawnguard on sale for $10 and the .esm is not even enabled yet as I dropped Skyrim for months at a time and am only like halfway through the main quest. Not quite ready to enable even more content. So I will wait until DB is on sale too; perhaps Fourth of July sale.
^ ill get it and enable it for no other reason than new armor and weapons more character customization because of it.
So, havent played this in forever. How long do you guys think it will take for mods to be able to be used with the new DLC. I haven't modded this game at all with any of the DLC yet, so curious how it's been so far with that.
20% off see told ya people just hold your horses haha
I was on skyrim nexus last night looking through newest mods and there are already quite a number of retextures and stuff of brand new dragonborn dlc armors. Just picked up the game again like a week ago, hadn't hardly touched it in quite a while.
Did a fresh reinstall with no mods and started getting ones I wanted. There's a few I don't think I could live without anymore. The game sucked me back in, lol. I loves it again
SkyUI (which I used to hate)
aMidianborn book of silence
realistic lighting overhaul
A quality world map
Cartographers map markers
Those are my favorites. Although my data folder is over 15gb
Thx Reaper. First DLC from Skyrim, rest was crap. Would have preferred 9.99, but I'll give them this one....
Dawnguard was fun got that for $10 on steam sale during the holidays but no steam sales means GMG wins and for $16 i find it will be worth it not at first no but new armors means new mods and textures and i cant wait to see some Bonemold retextures.
Hmm buy this now for $16 or wait for it to hit <= $10?
come on brooks hit the link i posted above sign up and buy man, its all of Solsteim or however you say that with all the feel good of Morrowind. Im only NOT playing it cause im working on a review
Fine fine ill get it. At work now and wont have time to play until this weekend probably.
But you convinced me
Edit: Dragonborn = Purchased. I need to stop spending so much dang money. Good thing I got paid today, first paycheck with my new year raise too
Dragonborn is a bit expensive. 20 EUR is 5 EUR less than i paid for the main game. Is it really worth it?
I bought some DLC's for much less that offer building your own house and stuff. But that was way cheaper...
It seems more expensive yes but look back at Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind roughly same amount of content and it cost the same back then as Dragonborn does now from what i remember i paid $15-20 for blood moon when it came out Dragonborn is $20 now, with Green man Gaming its $16 so essentially Bethesda's larger DLCs cost about the same as they did 10 years ago. You wont see me complain about it compared to previous fails like Horse Armor for $2.50 etc this is a good deal. If you like Elder Scrolls game there is alot here to love.
You also have to keep modders in mind as time goes on what they can do with the new content and locations can be amazing.
Believe me it's worth.
It's equivalent to Shivering Isles for Oblivion. Whole new lands, a lot of new stuff, etc...
Btw has anyone got to the point where you have to open that door with the red lights in the mine?
I read in the in-game journal of the quest that to do it you have to
use the sword you find on the body and power attack across the red lights which appear on the door
My problem is that I figured it out, but I don't know how to do it! I've always played either mage or sneaky arrow-wielding thief.
I need to know how to make a sword power-attack from left to right and then from right to left. No matter how hard I try, my sword power attack always ends up from top to bottom.
EDIT: nvm, got it
really thinking about buying dragonborn so tempting, is this equal to oblivion's shivering isles to you guys(n gals) for real, how big is the world vs the stock game panther.
I'm not too worried about retextures for the new content. Those can usually be thrown in at anytime since it's simply a retexture. I'm mostly thinking about other types of mods that alter the game. Since the best way to install those is for a fresh save.
Also I picked it up from GMG, might as well for that price.
