Self hosted Kodi server:

Pros:
1. You control exactly what is on it
2. 4k quality (depending on your downloads and bandwidth at home)
3. Complete control
4. Cheaper in the long run

Cons:
1. Person hosting it is an absolute idiot
2. Having to do maintenance
3. Having to download media before you can watch it
4. Buying new hardware

I don't understand Plex so much. All I can understand is it's a Kodi alternative. So what does it offer besides home media server?

Meant Kodi sorry, Plex from what I understand is easier to setup and integrates well with other streaming services and other people who have plex servers.

About 50/50 Netflix and Prime, although the Netflix smart TV app is really in your face and has this annoying habit of starting the film in the background before you even hit play.
Netflix is slick but it gets on my tits, unlike Prime which is much more controllable and subtle. User Interface means everything.

I answered previously that I hate all of them, but I have Netflix and for watching TV - I guess I like it but I don't like having to pay over $165/year for it, on top of my Internet bill, to get it. And that's for cheapest HD plan ($12.99 + $.91 tax per month).

But the question was, which is my favorite streaming service? The question did not specify TV or music.

Well, its Pandora - but not Pandora alone. I have a nice THX certified surround system on my computer and I stream Pandora though my Internet connection using Pandorian. Pandorian is a most excellent desktop client for Pandora. If you like listening to music while computing, I cannot recommend Pandora via Pandorian enough. It does not depend on any browser and you can listen to your Pandora "stations" without any ads. :(

And its FREE! :) That said, I like it so much I donated to the author - and that's not something I do often.

Nissan is getting in on the streaming service subscription trend with new vehicle subscriptions under Nissan Switch. The service area is only in Houston, Texas.

Nissan's Switch car line-up includes EVs, sedans, SUVs, trucks, and sports cars, and they all fall under one of two core subscription packages. Nissan Switch Select is $699, in addition to a one-time $495 "activation fee." Select gives you access to the Nissan Altima, Rogue, Pathfinder, and Frontier.

Nissan Switch Premium is $899, and it includes the same set of vehicles, in addition to the Nissan Leaf, Maxima, Murano, Armada, Titan, and 370Z. The GT-R can be driven for an "additional $100 per day" (but no more than seven days at a time).

It's a monthly car rental but it only makes financial sense for a specific niche audience.

This was actually on the national news (HLN) last week. That was a new option Netflix just added as a result of so many user complaints.

Switch will limit customers to 2,000 miles of driving, or 180 days of general usage for each individual vehicle (whichever comes first).
I wonder if that is a mistake? 2000 miles? That's barely over 11 miles per day.

Clearly, they don't want customers to rack up the miles. They need to keep the total mileage down so they can sell these cars as "low mileage" used cars. So holding users to short periods of use will let Nissan manage and control that better. But still, if they already reserve the right to recall any vehicle at any time, this 2000mile/180day limit seems like a odd way of doing controlling this.

It will enable a constant churn of vehicles in their fleet so everyone isn't taking out Pathfinders and leaving the fleet with just Rogues and Altimas.

My current go-to is Netflix for that sweet binge-watch experience, but I've been eyeing Disney+ for the nostalgia trip with The Simpsons - 30 seasons, whoa! Plus, can we talk about The Mandalorian? Baby Yoda has my heart. Also, big shoutout to Amazon Prime for those hidden gems from the '80s and '90s. Macross and Escaflowne take me way back! And hey, Prime's "free" with the membership, can't beat that.
"Wait those are not Mandalorians". There are some moments in Mando that are absolutely Epic. Him escaping with the help of the Mandos was insane. "I have spoken and everything that means was cool". The Assassin Droid's self sacrifice. That was just season 1. Luke Skywalker was in no way corny and that set Mando on a course to bring Star Wars back to the front of Pop Culture.
