Generally, I'm liking the new look. I do agree with Brandonwh64 about the new post/news columns on the top of the old forums page. That's how I generally browsed TPU's forums once I did my once though all the individual forums that pertained to me.

I just noticed that also. My average post count should be in the two post per day average

New Look seems to be more functional. At first it showed me as a "new member" (Jul 25th 2008), LOL. Now it is showing correctly however. Guess everyone has to sign in first.

EDIT: Yes, just noticed my message count tripled also.

Double EDIT: I don't see why so many members who have been on a long time have "new member". Is this just a bug with it being new?

Well this new layout is a lot more fresh and nice I guess, but I did prefer the (relatively) no-nonsense layout of the old. I'm pretty sure I'll get used to this though - no dramas.

A small bug is the message count I think, I haven't even reached 1000 posts yet but my counter says 2725. :/

Yeah and Mussels has 100k posts. :|

EDIT: BTW, any chance of putting links in system specs?

More annoying to use on mobile devices.. Can we have a proper mobile theme like the last one? This would eat data caps like mad as well as battery.

color theme is so light i cant tell where the white stops and the blue starts.


edit and delete buttons are tiny and on the left, not near reply/their usual location.


new moderator queue function is rather nice, quite a timer saver (not that this helps most of the users in this thread )

new email notifications look rather fancy, and pointless. showing me the content of a post (with users avatars!) seems pointlessly complicated. why show me full details of a single post of a thread that could have 50 more posts after it? the simpler 'click here to read' and 'click here to unsubscribe' emails were far simpler, and made more sense.

live update of posts not working. dont see the custom buttons for reporting posts/infractions/spam ban

this i dont mind it i guess but we need some shade changes because if i start glancing around fast i cant track the borders

I'll quote myself, but besides this my only real gripe is the lack of contrast in the colors (as have been mentioned already).

for all that are looking for subscribed threads go to:
forum --> watched threads (tiny line below tpu/forum/members line) and then if you need something older there is Show all watched threads at the bottom

If I may add onto what I said before if you dont want to do themes could you make the "blue" a few shades darker just a hair so its still light and fluffy and then maybe change it to red so it matches the TPU theme?

I imported the whole posts database three times (to minimize time lost), probably need to rebuild some counters for post counts to normalize.
