Feedback & Bug Reports for new Forums

When I type a reply to a thread but then decide not to post it it's there in the reply box every time I revisit the thread no matter how many times I delete it.

i think thats a browser thing, chrome does it for me too.

I guess it could be but I don't think I've seen it on the old forum or on other forums.

Hmmmm on "test style new" on my phone it renders like this:
View attachment 53393

But on desktop it works fine.
The default "light" theme should work on your phone like a charm assuming you toned down brightness to 10ish percent to save battery (mine is set on automatic but sinks that low, usually).

Yeah I normally have my brightness down at about that.

I've been posting a fair amount from my Lumia 920 smartphone, and I have to say, I LOVE the new forum on there. It's very optimized for mobiles, as opposed to the last forum which didn't work well at all...it lagged big time!

Browser autofills forms only for usernames, passwords, addresses and credit card numbers.
This is xenforo's message draft which is saved every delta T ... and apparently whenever I leave the thread page ... javascript sorcery.

The RTE assets could possibly use a recache....

The attach ".exe" option is gone. It would be nice to have it back.

Edit: Also, forum software breaks magnet links. ATTEMPT

What it should be:
magnet:?xt=urn:btih:7DFE96AF8D46D7A0B299FF658E4B6864579D463B&dn=TPU%20Minecraft%20Worlds&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.openbittorrent.com%3a80%2fannounce&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.publicbt.com%3a80%2fannounce

Note how it changed magnet: to http://magnet/

Ford, that would be easily fixed by creating a media handler for it. :) they could also fix the YouTube one while they're at it...

Click the "save" icon (floppy disk), then choose delete draft and delete the text (Dunno if the last part is necessary or not.)

When I highlight a word and try to url link it will select the entire line above it when i hit apply i can only stop it by using a line break

turning
this

into

this

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but it would be nice to be able to have the rich text editor and seeing bbcode tags at the same time. Let's say I make a link of the word at the end of a sentence. If I want to add something to that sentence I have to switch to bbcode-mode to do so becuase otherwise the rest of the text is placed within the url-tag.

So I noticed that TPU seems to auto refresh would their be any chance of getting the number of alerts put into the browser tab? Before the name?

Normally I just type and than link.

But yeah that can be annoying.

Just wanted to say I know how much work goes into building a site and trying to keep it fresh. If nothing changes it starts looking dated and becomes stale. I see a lot of requests for personal preferences individuals want, it is extremely difficult to please 100 people much less 1000s. Dont get frusterated I think the finished product will be a nice facelift. Just wanted to let ya know even though I have to learn where a few things are I can appreciate the need and the many many hours invested to get this site where it is today.

Thank You

yep, maybe the most shocking is its new interface, i need couple days to familiar with it
but i give thumbs for mobile version that much better and it feels more interactive than before

I never embedded a youtube video prior to the facelift but when I posted my annual Xmas video I was amazed how easy it was, I just started the thread, pasted the youtube link in to the post and it embedded all by itself..... am I missing something?

You mean change the page title to have the number of alerts in front?

so: "Feedback & Bug Reports for new Forums" becomes "(1) Feedback & Bug Reports for new Forums" ?

Could be confusing ?

I had the same mod for my IPB board. People are used to it since it's requested enough that there are a good bit of mods for that for various forum software,

thats what i mean so the number dictates the amount of alerts you have. I dont think its that confusing other sites around the net do something similar iv even seen it on VB forums. I think enough places to do it to avoid confusion since many people already know what it means even if they dont frequent tech sites.
weather it be alerts or facebook posts or unread PMs I think the atleast 90% of the net understand the number denotes some type of information you have not yet seen on the site your on.

gmail works the same way as well, with the number. its not a bad idea as long as its easy to clear.
