Frametime spikes and stuttering after switching to AMD CPU?

Mixed RAM, 4 sticks (dodgy even with matched set). Replace with matched 2*16 kit, profit.

I already tried only using 2 Sticks or even 1 the problem still persists
Almost ran out of suggestions...
1. Try reinstalling GPU drivers using NVCleaninstall (enable 'Enable Message Signaled Interrupts')
2. Run windows updater, it might install chipset drivers or something
3. Try to set PCIe mode to Gen3 (Bios)
4. Try switching MSI mode on the gpu (Proceed with caution, possible to crash windows) https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/w...ge-signaled-based-interrupts-msi-tool.378044/
Although it should be automatically set in 3xxx series

1. Tried reinstalling Drivers with DDU idk if that is the same.
2. i have no updates anymore, i installed the Chipset Drivers Manually.

3. Where do i find that in the Bios

How likely is it that this could be a CPU or GPU Problem which one could be more the issue

NVClean allows to enable MSI mode, sometimes it helps

Can't tell yet, but in general very unlikely

I also remember there was an issue with the HPET
Here's an example, https://github.com/RPCS3/rpcs3/issues/9320
try running
bcdedit /set useplatformclock false
in the admin cmd and reboot

I did this now it was set on "Auto" there was also a Gen4 Option ive set it to Gen3 now thats alright?

I googled this command and some people say problems could appear and they were unable to revert it, is there any way to revert this command when it comes with problems?

Yeah, just change false to true to turn it back again
bcdedit /set useplatformclock true

good

Deactivate the Power option within the MSI Afterburner utility and restart your PC and check whether the problem is resolved.

i had no issues with my other mainboard/Cpu tho how could that now make issues on this mainboard?

im seeing "Bus Interface Load" in the "Sensors" Tab thats the right thing?

this is what im seeing when i have CS2 open
Have you OC'd your GPU? I'm asking because it looks like it's constantly bumping at VRel VOp perfcap and that shouldn't really be happening at that low load.

Quick question, do you have AMD Adrenaline installed on the system for the CPU?

i dont, should i?
I just Updated the Chipset drivers via the AMD website now but it didnt help either
No, I was just seeing how you had it setup while thinking as I had heard some people having an issue before with Adrenaline in certain scenarios or having a weird thing checked off. Just like with everything else, more often than naught its better to just have the basic drivers.

You are talking about the skip I am seeing in the videos you post correct? (I just want to make sure we are on the same page is all)

Just to clarify, when you dropped to two sticks which slots did you put them in?

Also I see you have 2 M.2 drives, which one is you OS drive and which slot is it in (Upper or lower), also where are these games installed (Which one)

I had the Sticks in A2 and B2.

I tried both Drives, i had the first Windows Installation on my Crucial one that is in the Lower Slot (M2B_SB)
And now i have it installed on my Samsung 970 Evo Pro which is in the Upper Slot (M2A_CPU)

And yes im talking about that weird "Skip"
another example

Ok I was checking because one of the M.2 Slots is directly wired to the CPU and the others travel through the chipset.

Which memory kits do you have? I will tell you that some vendors memory has issues running on AMD so alot of times they have to specify they are 'Optimized for AMD'.

What maybe happening is this is just an issue caused by the framerate being uncapped now because its pushing your system further in games on the GPU. Now I generally use FreeSync/Gsync on my systems which is why I don't generally see something like that happening. I have seen that before on some peoples systems especially at very high framerates. Have you tried using one of those techs if you can or trying to limit your FPS to your monitors refresh?

Im using this Ram.

The Problem Happens both with capped and uncapped FPS, Elden Ring for example is capped at 60 and Overwatch 2 is capped at 144 both games stutter

I would have placed my bet on the MSI Afterburner Monitoring hiccups, to be honest, but you said, you ruled it out.
So, all things considered, a couple of further things for you to consider. Just try in this order:

1. Ignore this point if you have only one monitor hooked up! I've dealt with micro stutters because of different refresh rates on multiple active monitors. If this is the case, disable but one monitor - your (best) gaming monitor - then check in Windows Display Settings for correct display and the correct max refresh rate of this device. Also check in the Nvidia Control Panel for the corresponding max fps for your monitor. Then test again.

2. You said uncapped and capped fps are resulting in the same stutters. Did you try a full uncapped test run with V-sync off and G-sync (VRR) off? Also, did you get rid of any ingame frame rate locks (simply put, let the GPU run free). Does this test help with the stutters?

3. Geforce Settings: Use some well known anti stutter settings to test for. Look into Nvidia Control Panel under Manage 3d Settings:
  • 1st thing to do: after a lot of tinkering, those settings tend to become messed up. Reset all settings to factory settings before you proceed.
  • in Power Management Mode, set from "Adaptive/Normal" to "Prefer Maximum Performance" to ensure the GPU isn't throttling itself
  • Threaded Optimization: force-enabling (instead Auto) this setting can sometimes improve the performance, even with the low core count of your 5600. It's worth testing to see if it helps or hurts your specific situation
  • Only valid for Vulkan and OpenGL games and when you game in window modes or borderless window mode: Set "Vulkan/OpenGL present method" to "Try out prefer layered on DGXI swapchain"
  • After dialing in those settings, do a dry run with the following:
    • In Nvidia Control Panel dial: NVIDIA Low Latency: Set to Ultra; G-Sync: Set to On; V-Sync: Set to On
    • Ingame Settings: V-Sync: Set to Off(!), Nvidia Reflex Set to On: Then do a test run

Hope, some of this eventually helps. Good luck.

According to your mobo manual, the lower slot only supports PCIE 3.0 x 4 and your Crucial P3 Plus is PCIE 4.0 x 4. (the screenshot of crystaldiskinfo shows the interface mismatch too)

So your faster drive is being limited by the slot it is in. Probably unrelated to your problem, but just wanted to throw it out there. I'd put Windows on the P3 Plus and install it in the M2A_CPU slot.

I appreciate the help but that also didnt help haha oh man, i think im nearly running out of options here, i tested it without freesync/gsync etc, i need to try that with the monitor though, since im using 2 monitors, but i had no issues with my I5 back then using 2 Monitor

Holy moly thats a lot of steps haha, im gonna try that power plan thing first and check if that will maybe help kinda sketchy that it is a Mediafire link tho :D

Vram is at like 3000-7000 depends on what game

Hmm so probably not a vram issue.

Yea tbh I assumed that software he recommended would have a github page but I don't get a lot of results when googling it. Not sure about it now
