It's good, but I'd play Deliver Us The Moon first. There are certain aspects of the game that are far better executed in DUTM, and the story could be a bit confusing without knowing what happened before.

They're basically puzzle solving walking simulators.

Ha, strong opinions have been voiced. I believe RTX is a major selling point on visual enjoyment where atmosphere pulling you into the game elsewhere might be lacking for some.

Steam had Deliver us the Moon + soundtrack on sale last week and now just the base game is on special for under $10.

That's what I meant by "certain aspects of the game". I don't want to go into details (again), but let's just say that the characters and dialogues are a bit meh, which cannot be said about Deliver Us The Moon, which is an amazing game through and through, in my opinion.

If you disregard the above, and look at Deliver Us Mars strictly as a puzzle/walking game, it's not bad at all, either. You do need to play DUTM first to fully understand the story, though.
